14 months, actually, since I have responded to or directly acknowledged the existence of gbaji.

For reference, here's the post that brought my epiphany:

By all accounts, Obama does believe that America is innately good.

What accounts Joph?

I don't know the man personally. Neither do you. What "accounts" are you talking about?

The "accounts" I know of is not wearing the flag lapel pin after 9/11, not putting his hand on his heart during the pledge, and sitting in a church listening to Reverend Wright for 20 years.

All the "accounts" seem to indicate exactly the opposite Joph. And that's what the voters are going to be looking at. He can claim whatever he wants, but it's actions that matter. An yeah, I get that those are just symbols and shouldn't matter, but barring some other information those symbols do matter.

We should just trust that he really does love his country though? Why? Seriously. Why?

Once again: "Hahahahhahahahha"

Anyway, my epiphany was that it wasn't worth my time refuting arguments that are inherently and unfailingly self-refuting. Furthermore, replying only propagates the illusion that anything he writes is of a quality or seriousness worth replying to (see above).

It certainly makes for a more relaxing forum experience, anyway.

I now end this interruption and resume my previous pledge.

Toodles

What you're not getting is that while this stuff doesn't matter to you, it does to the very block of voters he needs to win over if he wants to have a chance. Sitting back and saying "This doesn't matter" simply isn't going to fly. It works great on those who already think that Obama is the second coming. For everyone else, it looks like just one more reason not to vote for him.

Good job! Seriously.

I tried to do that with varus, but I've failed more times than I care to admit.

No, it's more like a congratulatory shot of whiskey.

Ari's gonna kill you.

Ordinarily I would, in my own obscure to undetectable way, but Kavekk reminds me of guinea-pigs.

Does this sentence mean you have to start your count back at zero?

Technically he could just say "In the past 3 years, only once have I responded to or directly acknowledged the existence of gbaji since that fateful day..." Something like that.

No, I'm fully aware that this post breaks the streak. Which would be significant if we were talking about real-life sobriety or something. But since it's about posting, I don't really care.

Is anyone else around here boycotting another poster?

I've tried to quit Varus. He's insipid.
