I think the EU should centralise healthcare and heavily tax chips, lemonade and bacon.

And limeys should eat more limes.

Body fat doesn't always take into account body types. I have a lot of chubby on me, but I also have a fairly heavy musculature and bone system underneath (I had a DXA scan that proved I really was big-boned all this time Smiley: lol Came from singing opera during formative years, my mom always said.) Someone my weight without that would be a horrifying stay-puft marshmallow woman.

YES! DOINITRITE!

Well, not really. I think the way many people see food is becoming more and more unhealthy, and it currently seems to be even more of a problem on the US and UK compared to elsewhere. Basically, a lot of people seem to predominantly use fat and sugar for flavour enhancement (instead of spices), and this seems to lead to "unhealthy == tasty" in many people's heads, and together with the pressure of looking good and being slim it leads to a matter of choosing looks or the pleasure of doughnuts or bacon, when really carrots are ******* delicious, too.

It is in some cases easier to prepare a not so healthy meal, both effort and skill wise, but really I don't understand why people don't just eat a bunch of tomatoes for lunch, unless they hate the taste of tomatoes or get heartburn from them or whatever.

I refused to eat meat when I lived in the States. Smiley: lol

I also learned that the fruit section at my local Walmart was ridiculously small.

Samira, YES! Though to be honest, I thought salt does not make you fat as quickly.

It doesn't, directly (except through water retention), but it can damage your heart and kidneys, which certainly will.

It'd be nice if there were more safe places for kids to run around in. And I think there is alot of evidence that people are working longer hours for less money, which leads to a lot less self-care and free time to do active things. I'm not saying that is the only or the primary reason for the obesity epidemic but we sure don't promote a very healthy society here in the US.

Okay. I heard that it wasn't good, but didn't know in what way, thanks.

Last week, I tried a new quark brand, it was awfully salty. But the store was out of normal quark.

With my commute, I devote over 10 hours to work a day. 10 hours sitting on my *** in a car or behind a computer, then 6-8 hours of sleep.

If I go to the gym, I get 1-2 hrs of activity. Never there less than an hour. I just wish I had more free time to actually do active things aside from the gym. Not that I'm in the shape to do it now, but I'd like to be, and there won't be time when I get there. Smiley: frown

Also, didn't I hear somewhere recently that cooking with salt is nowhere near as bad as eating the salt in prepackaged food?

Almost 3 hours a day commuting, 9 hour work day for myself. Almost 2 hour commute and 10 hour work day for my wife, daily chores and a 5 month old and we still manage to cook a complete and healthy meal each night.

It can be easier to just do take out but if you want a healthy life you have to push for one.

ALSO: Come the **** one, how was this to much for the OoT? Christ.
