Yet to finish reading the rest of the posts, but had to comment on this.
My Aunt, who memorial service I plan to go to on the 29th was very active in Portland Me. anti-war protests and I expect many of the folks who stood on the bridge each weekend will be attending the mass for her.
Maybe I'll wait until after the protest on the 31st to head home and stand with them.
