make sure to stay hydrated. Drink lots of fluids.

Try tepid baths vs cold baths.

In before swine flu jokes.

Might be ebola. If not, I recommend contracting ebola to have a battle of the viruses and see who emerges victorious.

Er, it probably won't be you.

I find straight up aspirin works better than ibuprofen on fevers.

But that's just me.

alternate between Tylenol and Motrin for reducing the fever. You can have them both in your system at once but they are on different timers (usually its 4-6 hours for Tylenol, 8 for Motrin).

If the fever is due to some kind of infection you need to deal with that. If you have the flu of some kind of bug, take only enough aspirin to be able to sleep - then sleep lots.

I prefer aspirin for fevers, but if you can't take aspirin you're doing all the right things. Ice pack on your throat next to your carotid artery will help.

What does your doctor say?

If you are taking cold baths, it is important to avoid shivering as it will make your temperature go up again. Shivering is a reflex mechanism that makes your muscles heat you up. Try to go for a cool, but comfortable temperature, and get lots of sleep.

Wouldn't the ice freeze to your inner mucus membranes in what I'd assume would be an extremely unpleasant way?

Drink lots of water, bundle up and sweat it out.

This advice may not be of any worth.

The fever seems to have gone away for now. The rest of me being sick still isn't done yet. Will go to the doctor here in a little while. Finally got some sleep, that helped.

Water, water, and more water, and Emergen-C.

Try to avoid getting more germs and build up your immune system with garlic, ginseng, and vitamin C to prevent future occurrences.

RACK you on your weight loss plan, Kao. For every couple of degrees your body goes above 98.6*, your metabolism increases 10%. It's a surefire way to drop pounds if you can resist the urge to eat when feverish.
