We always do a friday thread talking about what we're looking forward to over the weekend. Why not a monday one?

p.s. It doesn't have to be about work.

Aside from work this week I'm hoping to visit, and have lunch, my old college coach and an old teammate who was going to propose to his girlfriend.

I'd also like to take the rotovator to the garden and get a jump start on the weeds beginning to take root.

Bunches of desk work so I can enjoy the four-day weekend (taking Tues off next week).

I planted a bunch of stuff this weekend - finally. I'll be rushing home from work each day this week, with anticipation, to see if I got anything good yet (that'll wear off by next week).

On the job, it's annual training week. Long days, but away from the office and lunch is catered in. Smiley: clown

I've been incredibly productive for these last two hours, so I can not be too hurried for the rest of the day. I suspect it'll be like that all week: Push myself before 10AM so I can slack from 10-5.

It doesn't get dark until a little past 9. Assuming you get home from work around 7 that gives you 2 hours of light. I can't understand why anyone would want to spend it in a gym. During winter sure, but not when it's sunny and 70 outside. Even if I didn't have yard/garden work I'd hit college park and shoot baskets outside then take a dip in the pool; depending of course whether some cute college girls are laying out. Then I skip shooting baskets and just grab a book and a few coronas and enjoy the view.

Now I know you married couples feel like you can't get out among younger people and enjoy the sight of attractive people wearing skimpy bathing suits but there's gotta be something better than the monotany of just finishing up work, cooking, watching tv, and going to bed.

Finally caught up on laundry today. I refuse to use the dryer and so haven't had it hooked up yet and then it rained most of last week so I couldn't hang out the laundry.

I'm babysitting for a friend of ours this Friday. It's their anniversary and they want to go out of town for the day.

Other than that it's going to be the same ol' same old.

I started out today by going to the park with Ashe, meeting up with Tare and another friend, but I got a call while there to pick up Xavier from school. He had a cold this weekend and felt fine this morning, but started complaining of a headache and earache. He is now currently in bed, medicated, and drinking juice while he reads Calvin and Hobbes. Oh, and ticked off at me because I wont let him have a friend over this afternoon Smiley: lol

Rest of the week I have to get the house in order for friends flying in to visit for the weekend, car cleaned out so they can use it instead of renting one, stocking up on snackages, and I've got a midwife appointment towards the end of the week (closing in thank god).

I'm determined to get match fit for the new season, therefore I wanted a specific training programme. Believe me, I'd much prefer to be lounging outside looking at nubile young women.

Lol, I love line dried clothes. They smell better to me. Also, it helps keep the electricity bill down.

Well, sure, but not if it keeps me from doing laundry for a week.

This week's project: unhook all my computer stuff and clean behind the computer desk. Corollary: pile up all the dead computer parts and call a recycler to come and get them.

I'm going to take pictures of the view from my office today. I am sure going to miss it, especially this time of year.

Every Monday, I try to post a new image I've created on my blog, but this past week I just wasn't into it, so I cheated. I <3 Monday, it's the beginning of my weekend.

During the day: Working and trying to keep ahead of all the court deadlines that I've got with all the litigation my office is dealing with.

At night: Yet another continuing legal education class tonight. Dinner with a friend on Tuesday night. Regular housework, yardwork and laundry at night all this week so we can try to get the major stuff done to the house, garage and yard that needs attention.

Let's see. I had a meeting at 9. I did a two hour interview with a client at 11 to 1. Then I made a bunch of phone calls, trying to get back to people and root out clinical services for another. Sometimes it's just alot of phone calling and researching literature to find people that might help the kids from the court. I've done some writing and I'll do more at home for a report due later this week. I have to run a new group this afternoon that starts around 4. I'll start preparing around 3. Then I'll go home. Feed my cat. I might go for a walk to clear my head. Finish putting together this bookshelf I got from Ikea. And then I will work, probably staying up way too late and posting on Alla more than I should, which I do when I have alot of writing to do, which is all the time.

Nothing to elaborate on. I've had mountains of paperwork I've had to go through. I'm nearing the bottom of the stack, and I realize I've still got almost an hour left to go before I can go home.

Also, my bum hurts. Smiley: glare
