Kind of quick to use a taser, no idea what the exact protocol for that is but it would seem to have been used very quickly in this case.

Meh. Trying to subdue a naked, potentially crazy guy is grounds for taser use in my opinion.

Hmmm really, in the days before tazers a simple rugby tackle and cuffs sufficed.

He clearly wasn't armed.

There is a worrying rise in taser use amongst police forces considering how incredibly painful they are and the occasional deaths caused. Then again, if they hadn't brought him down he would have died of pneumonia, so...
