He calls himself Shadowhare, and he wears a mask and a cape to conceal his true identity. He's Cincinnati's own version of a superhero fighting crime and injustice where he finds it.

"We help enforce the law by doing what we can in legal standards, so we carry handcuffs, pepper spray … all the legal weapons," said Shadowhare. "We will do citizen's arrests. We will intervene on crimes if there is one happening in front of us."

The man behind Shadowhare's mask is 21 years old and from Milford. Those are the only clues to his true identity that he will reveal. Shadowhare said he was abused as a child and grew up in foster homes, perhaps leading him to a life helping others.

My question is...does he have bunny ears and a fluffy tail?

Someone certainly didn't age mentally past 15! And there's a bunch of them that have formed the "Allegience of Heroes"... Smiley: laugh

Master Legend was one of them. All their names are awful. I bet they complain that all the big wigs (ie. Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, etc.) have taken all the good names.

I couldn't help myself. I managed to come across (one of) their websites. I don't see Shadowhare or any of his buddies, but some of the topics are rather humorous. Have fun! Maybe I'll register there...but I would have to think of a good name... Smiley: sly

He can't be that hard to identify - Milford, OH has a population of about 6,000.

Where to Attain Skills

I know that we were talking about what kind of skills are important to have, but what if people don't have those skills? Here's some basic info on where you can go to acquire some skills.

First Aid/CPR - Your local Red Cross will have CPR & First Aid classes available. If you want to get a Healthcare Provider level certification, take an EMT I class at your local college/university.

Martial Arts - The best way to figure out where to go is to look in your phone book. Look under Martial Arts for a listing.

Photography - Well, you can always just buy a camera and start taking photos, but sometimes you can find like 2-day classes and stuff on the basics. Of course, you could always take a class at your local college/university.

Investigation - PennFoster has online classes http://www.pennfoster.edu/pi/index.html?semkey=Q107076 It would also help to start doing logic puzzles. If you scour the internet, you can find a ton of private investigation courses, which should give you a basic knowledge on how to go about investigating.

list more!!!

Dammit, you had to find this on the day work gets busy again. Argh, best find since TVTropes.

Edit: Here's a video segment:

Speaking from experience, your cape is one of the places you don't want any extra padding...it just makes the thing tangle you up even worse, and becomes harder to hide without taking it off and stuffing it in a backpack. But then, I don't think anyone should wear capes anyways...all they do is get in the way, go flying over your arms or head when you throw punches, snag on stuff or get caught under your feet when you're running and climbing, etc. And it gives your enemy something extra to grab and toss you around with in a fight.

hehehe

As much as I think it's a ridiculous and absurd idea, it takes a pretty big pair of brass ones to walk into Washington Sq. Park at night and get up in the face of a dealer. That, and a shortage of brain cells.
