Go post something here that meets the rules of this contest.

It's like 1 in 21 odds right now, contest deadline is 1 week away.

Smiley: wink

Not that I need a new PC, but I figured hey, why not. That WotG box that Lahurah won from the pumpkins was pretty frickin sweet, after all.

"Fourteen copies of Age of Conan and 41 free subscriptions, ranging from 30 days to one year, are up for grabs. In addition, one lucky grand prize winner will get a GameRigs custom desktop gaming PC system in an Age of Conan case!"

Sure a $4,000 pc would be nice, but is it really worth the risk of receiving a copy of AoC?

Well it would be 1 in 21 odds if the winner was randomly selected.

Somehow I doubt that the Zam staff will award my story about my character furiously skull-raping his way into another dimension.

It IS randomly selected... From posts that aren't nuked. So if you can get a skull rapeing story by the filter in there and no one nukes it, go for it. Post quality, length or font color has no bearing on the selection. The contest selectee hits a button, and it goes <whirrrrrrrr-BING> "That one!"

Then we send computer worth a significant chunk of our salary here at the site to someone else. Who will probably store **** involving sheep on it.

I see, interesting. The official contest rules state that it's random. Tamat's post is virtually a copy & paste of the rules, but he omitted the word "randomly."

Also, the rules say it's a $3000 computer, fyi.

They told me $4,000. Not sure where the typo is. Either way, it's going to be quite the chunk of hardware.

What's to stop someone from changing IPs and creating like 100 different posting accounts, anyway?

Boredom. That and the other aspects to account creation that we would likely notice, and the fact that I'd ban the main if we caught someone doing that. Other than that, not a whole lot.

Is the PC fully custom as in we get to pick the hardware for it up to $4k or custom as in you toss in random stuff and say it's a gaming rig?

It has a custom painted case, and set specifications that I do not currently know. We're working on getting those posted. From the pricepoint I'd guess it's a higher end nehalem Corei7 processor, high end video card, maybe a bit of water cooling. but thats a guess on my part at this point.

Hmm, random eh? And to think I was about to write a ten page story that nobody on the entire Asylum and most of the OoT would even understand much less care about. Off to write up a quick three paragraphs then I suppose.

I took that risk. I'm not sure what to think about this:

30-Day Game Card Winners (3): OrofinOdin, Paradox, mreford

Winners will get a Private Message & e-mail with what we need to get you your prizes. If you didn't win you still can! And the Grand Prize is open to everyone! Check back tomorrow!

I have literary talent.

I just can't be bothered to waste it, as this competition's not open to UK residents.

I have more literary ability than your whole ******* country, taking the literary ability of J.K. Rowling to be 0, anything worse to be a minus and that a 1 shift is the difference between a piece of horse **** and a Terry Brooks novel. I guess what I'm saying is that my literary ability > - 8 billion.

But yeah, I'm not allowed to enter. I blame the feds.
