No one has except in the minds of some self-proclaimed martyrs who want really hard to believe that the scary Left is outtagettim.

OMG! I've been radicalized. Really. I can feel the change coming on me. You don't want to make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm... Um. Yeah.

Look. I've argued this as well. But to my fellow conservatives (*cough*), the document doesn't radicalize anyone or make them into something else. What it does is allow others to label them as extremists due to the association between the listed behaviors of "rightwing extremism" within the document and the behaviors they engage in.

Let's at least get the problem right first? Just a thought. You really aren't helping...

No, the document doesn't radicalize anyone.

On the other hand, you radicalize yourself when you put on your tinfoil hat and begin ranting about the scary DHS report and how the government set it up to attack you and intentionally leaked it to Rodger Hedgecock because of Silly Protest Day.

Although it is funny watching ten PDF pages have so much control over you.

OK, was talking about the context of the document....thought we all sorta were.

Kinda like a document saying "All ????? need to wear diapers" would be
"Infantalizing" ?????.

Obviously no sane person thinks some random document actually changes anyone.

We will always be vulnerable to individual abuses of power
(j.Edgar, etc) but institutional or "systemic" broad targeting should always be battled, regardless of the target.

The document in question doesn't say "all" anyone anything.

Although, speaking to someone else on this topic, I've developed a pet theory. It's no secret that the GOP has been having trouble marketing their ideas. This isn't really in question -- even leaders within the GOP have said as much. In the absence of developing a compelling message that people will listen to and say "Hey, yeah, that makes sense" I think the new GOP "marketing" campaign is this: Constantly claim persecution and give the impression that their ideas are so very, very important that the Democratic Government Machine is trying to crush them down. "Lower taxes are so scary to the Government that they'll try to label you as an extremist for wanting them! Fight the powah!" "The Government is trying to stop you from protesting on Tax Day with their scare-memo! Fight the powah!" Hell, we even have Texas Governor Perry & Tom DeLay saying "These issues are so important that we'd be willing to rip the nation asunder to defend them! Fight the powah!"

This removes any real need to discuss those issues or present them in an appealing way. Instead, they just present themselves as victims of a cruel government our to supress any mention of anti-abortion, gun rights, deficit reduction, oil drilling, etc etc etc. I mean, oil drilling must be important if the DHS thinks anyone who mentions it is a potential terrorist, right? Obviously the government is wrong on the economy if they're willing to send their jack-booted thugs out to grab you in the night if you speak about it, right?

It's a purely emotional knee-jerk technique. Now some are doing it intentionally and the rest, well, the rest got their talking point from the usual pundits.

Samy,

I'm upset because liberals are in the process of completely destroying the constitution. Of course liberals are all for that.

I'm personally hoping this DHS report lead to soldiers being quartered in Varrus's house. British ones, if at all possible.

Because our constitution doesn't apply to ununiformed terrorists who like to blow up children in crowded markets; despite what the Democrats think.

They won't quarter them there; they'll simply blow up my house like ruby ridge and waco.

I am by no means saying that that site is a excellent source to use, but it was the first one I found and I don't have time at the moment to do any in depth research. It also seems to be informative enough.

Due to some major issues that @#%^ed up my ability to be financially secure and my career, I'm screwed into working midnights at a store that I used to manage(although I'm being paid the same amount I was as a manager thankfully(which pays my bills, feeds me, keeps me fully stocked on cigarettes, adds money to my savings, and allows me to indulge in the occasional baggie of weed while stile having money left over every couple of weeks).

So at 4:20, I'm just waking up, and i had last night off so I was able to have a few drinks and smoke a few joints. If it doesn't interfere with the important things(work, family, friends, etc.), I feel I have absolutely no reason why I shouldn't indulge.

You're right my bad. I'm so used to people working during the day that sometimes I forget some people work the nigh shift.

I miss working during the day. The night is boring, and full of drunken idiots.

However, working during the day anywhere in town that doesn't require the university or college education that I can't afford would mean I take a pay cut, so I'll gladly work the nightshift.

A lefty is America's most wanted terrorist according to the FBI. They must be doing a good job of covering up Varus' conspiracy.
