Now you're confusing xenophobia, misogyny, bigotry, idiocy, and illiteracy with 'political views'.

No, I didn't link to Fox News.

It's the outline for the goals for 2007.

Quote:
The terroist threat to the Homeland is not restricted to violent Islamic extremist groups. We also confront an ongoing threat posed by domestic terrorist based and operating strictly within the United States. Often referred to as "single-issue" groups, they include white supremacist groups, animal rights extremists, and eco-terrorist groups, among others.

BTW, I guess it's grammatically correct but it's kinda weird seeing Homeland capitalized.

You mean like the FBI blackmailing MLK and attempting to force him to commit suicide?

The scans are of actual documents released by the FBI under the Freedom of Information Act, btw.

Except for, you know, the hundreds and hundreds of pages just like the ones linked wherein the government created a coloring book featuring black people killing white people and mailed copies of it around the country under the name The Black Panther Coloring book in an attempt to discredit the Black Panthers, or released a false story to the media saying that a popular actress known for her civil right's activities was pregnant with the child of a Black Panther, or kept a file on John Lennon, or or or...

Virus, there's wrong and then there's WRONG, and if you're honestly attempting to claim the government has not targeted left-wing activists for blackmail, intimidation, and false allegations, you are very demonstrably wrong.

You know, Varrus, you said before you're a southern Baptist. I assume this means you're from the South, like I am. It becomes clearer to me by the day that you were never fortunate enough to attend any of the South's fine educational institutions, because they surely would have taught you how to present an argument better. Surely. (Or maybe it went in one ear and out the other, like everything we've said in the Asylum over the years that contradicts your arguments.)

Google Maryland State Police and spying, it's been in the news for the last year. The used the support of the Bush and Homeland Security Dept to fund and excuse their surveillance of several non violent organizations.

WASHINGTON – A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

The report, titled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," dated April 7, states that "threats from white supremacist and violent anti-government groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts."

What a surprise. Where's Hillary talking about our rights to disagree with the govn?

Oh and for the record no study like this has been conducted on "Left-wing Extremism".

There's something about hitting the red arrow on Hangten's post and seeing it go from "sub-default" to "unrated" that makes me excited, bordering on turned on.

The problem is not the views that citizens hold. It's the actions said citizens might take.

You DO want us to be prepared for terrorism in all its guises, don't you? Or is it fine with you as long as they target Chicago?

It doesn't sound like potential threats are being ignored. It sounds to me like the DHS is keeping an eye on things as is their mandate.

Though I will not purport to know Hilary's sexual orientation, I would like to clarify a few things. Lesbians are still women, including our butch sisters. Also, Hilary wouldn't necessarily be a "bull ****," but rather a "power ****."
