My company gets tomorrow off, but that's only because our unpatriotic Canadian overlords don't celebrate the U.S. President's Day as a holiday, so they give us this instead.

I'll be in here all day tomorrow anyway trying to get this software finished up before the customer deadline next week. At least the office will be nice and quiet. I haven't put any thought into what I'll be doing the rest of the weekend since I've been working until midnight every night so far this week ><.

Workshy, my ***** I am exhausted after working so hard this week to get ready for the in-laws' visit, commencing tomorrow. My house is like a new penny, the yard is tidy, the fridge is stocked and all the contraband has been tucked away.

Bring it, Old Folks.

[kaolian]
You re-built your house out of mostly zinc, and covered it with a thin copper shell? That *IS* a lot of work![/kaolian]

I will sneak out at 3 am and hide plastic eggs containing white and red business cards printed with the words "Viva la sangrienta conejito que devoró los intestinos del Chist!" all throughout the Cambridge/Sommerville area.

Now I can talk about the weekend.

My daughter will be home this evening. I'm hoping she'll show up in time for us to go out and find some fun.

Tomorrow we celebrate Easter. We're doing dinner at our house, with a dozen or so relatives joining us.

Sunday, my husband has promised his little gurl we'd go out for breakfast. Other than that I don't know what we'll be doing.

The snow is FINALLY nearly gone from my yard. I think I can start raking out the couple little flower beds I have and maybe even plant some bulbs I picked up.

Tonight: getting off a quarter hour early. Smiley: clown Gym/cleaning/welcoming Gramma to the house.

Tomorrow: preparations for Sunday, then chilling with Gramma. Gym at some point.

Sunday: relatives coming for Easter. Ham, games, "Stutz."

I have no idea where "Stutz" comes from. I've looked it up on the internet; it's not there. It may be a word that the generations of my family have sort of muddled over time. Anyway, it's a game involving Easter eggs. Two people pick their champion Stutz egg and holds it in a fist, with the point end sticking out. One person holds their egg out, pointy side up. The other person takes their egg, pointy side down, and raps it against the other person's pointy side. The one that doesn't crack is the winner. The other person gets a delicious egg.

Yay, hello Gwyn, haven't seen you round for a little bit ^-^

I was just saying so in another thread.

As for my weekend it's going to be literally agonising*, and some parts are going to be unpleasant in other ways, so I won't trouble you all with it.

*physically. I do know my literal from my metaphorical.

Saturday - Solve the mysteries of the Universe with pen and paper. No cheating. Throw rocks in the conservatory.
Sunday - Attend family gathering. Relax. Solve mysteries of the past.
Monday - Write Transformers erotica. Ruin as many childhoods as possible. Put feet up. Solve the mysteries of Shakespeare.

Hmm.

I get a paid vacation day for Good Friday, and of course Easter is a Sunday so I get that off as well. I work for a non-union, mostly automotive, factory.

Hmm, I'd definitely take a swap with Nobby or Kavekk. In full.

I'm sure Kavekk's family and Nobby's SO would be interesting to meet.

Well, there are normally more pirahna, but it's hard to plan with them. I send them invites and they don't turn up (except once in a while, to @#%^ with me), I ignore them and suddenly there's a whole flense of them marching about and the blood... well, let's just say that stain removers greatly exaggerate their ability to remove it.

But yeah, pretty much.

Sure, but your fingers might be a little numb when you regain control of them.

From all the petting cuddly animals I intend to do while in Oz, that is.

Sard Wonder Soap. Hand scrub for a bit in completely cold water. Rinse. More Sard Wonder Soap. Machine wash in completely cold water. Should be perfect.

Alternatively, wear black.

Amateur vision. A really good long petting session leaves my fingers crabbed up and all my finger bones and joints on both hands creaking and sore and very odd to move as I type, afterwards.

Hopefully Nobby is used to that too, given his itinerary.

Well, I promise to kiss them better afterwards, 'k?

After washing them, of course.

Of course.

Dammit, pretend I said something lewd yet witty and lighthearted here. I HAVE to go to bed.

Gwyn, sit on Kavekk or something for me.
