Right, because the wille zur macht has power over all psychology. You're a @#%^ing genius man, all I have to do is relax? Holy sh*t why didn't I think of that.

You may have thought of it, but you certainly chose not to pursue it. You can choose to let go of your past problems if you want to.

In fact, generally, I like Pensive. He just doesn't have an observing ego all the time.

I don't see the problem when someone asked for it specifically. I don't see any problem whatsoever in attempting to answer a question to the full extent of my ability. I unfortunately also, have about a 25% shot of holding a vendetta against petty **** like that. We'll see in the morning. 200mg amitriptaline 50mg benadryl. Goodnight.

Something is horribly wrong with the world you are telling me this, regarding our disciplines.

No, I was referring to his love of empirical science and my love of the study of the will.

I don't really have any "past issues" to let go of either

I was implying that Allegory is so much better than you that the product of a passing fancy of his would dwarf that of your most beloved interest in depth of insight and apprehension. Because he's ************* Allegory, man.

I know I am joining the debate somewhat late but I thought I would throw in my 2 pennies worth.

When I die, one of 3 things will happen. I will find out there is a heaven (and hell), the lights will go out and nothing else happens or I will become a residue of energy that will diffuse and join the universal energy field that binds us all as beings.

I hope for the first option and I would ask to view all those extreme christians faces as they justify their lives of persecution and hatred for their fellow man to a creator they cannot bargain with. The small minded, people hating freaks that they are would hopefully then find out what hell is like.

I may not be religious but I am pro human. There is nothing wrong with gay marraige or letting people be happy.

This becomes amazing when heard with Vince Offer's voice.

Eh... it's not any less difficult than talking to some people.

Also, Pensive just needs a higher awesome quotient.

It's that hidden variable that makes all the difference.

In now calm and sharp minded retrospect. I could/should have made that tirade in PMs, mostly because no matter how I believe that it is justified, there is niggling doubt that won't be surpressed.

So like, sorry or something, to the people. I hope it provided entertainment or something.

i guess i'm just sore because it felt like i was just being respectful to belkira and attempting to be really really empathetic and then someone out of-nowhere- comes out and goes "you're being tooo self centered; stop it"

the only reason I would even type that much is if I severely respected or liked the person listening.

As naive as my opinion sounds, I believe homosexuality is nature's form of birth control. I agree with the forum posters, who feel in their hearts and believe that their child is homosexual at a very young age. I believe it is genetic, and the day will come (and soon, as a very good friend, and world known and respected pediatric geneticist predicts) that the gene will be located. What happens then? Will the parents demand the right to have the embryo "genetically altered"? Will physicians playing with the Brave New World idealogy take it upon themselves to "fix" the fetus to ensure a normal life? Hair and eye color and sex of the child are on the brink of accessibility to the population. At that very point, the door will be flung wide open.

I think the word 'naive' could be replaced with the phrase "cinder-block stupid", but I hear you.

I think people with that particular opinion ("nature's birth control") put too much stock in the writings of Michael Crichton.

The only things I know about Michael Crichton are: He was a physician, and he's dead.

There's a medical school in Ecuador who'll fax you a diploma following four years worth of tuition payments.

It's just weird that everyone listed that Sci-Fi writer as a physician. He got a degree but never actually did anything with it, that's why I asked.
