I'm not sure why you think it's a "major affront." I'm not upset about it, I just don't feel like having to explain every joke I try to make with you.

It's text. It's hard to read inflection.

Quote:
I'm not trying to make you angry or upset,

I'm not. Why do you think that I am? I am attempting to explain in as honest a way as possible how my mind behaves. This is not me being upset.

Quote:
I'm also not sure it's considered "meeting you halfway" when you say, "I get in a one track mode when I discuss things I'm passionate about, and I don't really want to change that."

I don't know how to change that; do you understand the difference? I have no idea how to go about changing my entire cognitive operations.

Suppress yourself when you think you are going to annoy the sh*t out of someone else. That's a start.

I thought you were think alot about Belkira when in reality you were thinking mostly about yourself.

And why or how am I supposed to tell if I'm going to annoy the **** out of someone?

She asked a question! What am I supposed to do but answer it?!

I guess what I meant was I'm not trying to be rude or hurt your feelings in any way. "Angry or upset" were poor word choices.

I do understand the difference, Pensive. But you have to excuse me if it gets a little muddled when I offer a few examples of ways to get around it and say I'm not sure what would work for you, and you respond with, "I don't know what works for me either, nor do I care."

Of course it was! The subject of the discussion was my posting style. Christ what do you expect me to do but try to explain it?

That very explaination, the very fact that I went to such length to be calm and earnest and honest and nice with her about some disagreement shows that I was thinking a ******* TON about belkira's feelings and I am extremely mad at the fact that you could misinterpret something like that.

Gave me too much credit. You don't have the goddamn right.

If anyone's wondering, my arrogance comes from being better* than virtually everyone else.

*Especially at using words that are, in context, rather nebulous. Still, I have to concede that, at this one thing, New Labour is even better.

Don't try and cover your mistakes with edits.

I am in therapy, I go to school, I hang out with people; I take drugs Rx not homebrew, I am at a loss of anything else to do. Right now I'm extremely mad at anna anyway. But BY GOD I am going to stay polite and honest until this conversation is done.

It's funny because I was about to just quote anna and say QFT

Then she shows up and tells me I'm being an emotional self centered *****. What the @#%^?

You apparently don't get that people can express the object of their thoughts in different ways? It's neither I nor belkira about which i was thinking you judgmental l;sd,fngl;k it was the dissonance and confusion between her friendlyness and my one track mind which has constantly been a srrg;ibujheo[ thorn in my mind for years and then I go about explaining to belkira in extreme and honest and kind detail why I was being apparently offensive to her and how should I not do it again and I get that shat into my face?

God help me if I don't have some benadryl

I love my mother, a lot. She could probably beat you up actually. Did YOU beat Ozma in ffix in the low 60s? Did YOU beat the special zones in super mario world when you were trying to play two played with an inept 6 year old? I bet you didn't.

No, I am mad at you for being not only extremely judgmental, but inconsiderately so. You weren't even right about the thing that you were judging!

It's like there is a PDD army on the internet, wanting to perseverate, misinterpret social signals, be very rigid and be overly dramatic when criticized. I'm not just talking about Pensive either. In fact, generally, I like Pensive. He just doesn't have an observing ego all the time.

To be or not to be, that is the question;
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to — 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life,
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th'unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.
