Once again the Obamas vividly illustrate just how classy they are. Maybe on there next trip to the UK they can get the queen a microwave.

I'll admit that the DVDs (which I don't think were a bad gift themselves) paled against the HMS Gannet pen holder but apparently the Queen gives everyone... a silver framed photo of herself and her husband

Personally I think its better then some expensive gift. As someone said before, In the economic conditions that we are in if he had spent a lot of money on a gift he would have heard a bunch of **** about people being out of work and here he is spending money on expensive presents.

As Ash said, It could have some very thought out and sentimental songs or message on the thing. You don't know.
As for the 500 people,(Which I would like you to show proof that the number was that large) Your not the president so you don't know what he needs to have with him and many of those people are not getting paid by the president. Many of the people are on the dime of corporations or other senators.
So before you start throwing stones, saying people are stupid and making assumptions stop and use your head. It’s that lump 3 feet from your ***.

I already said that the DVD set paled against the pen holder. On the other hand, an iPod and a rare, signed songbook by a famous composer beats the hell out of a framed photo of the Queen.
