Just came down from a natural high.

You're taking this well, no sarcasm intended.

Well having already updated your resume and submitted it to a couple places seems like highly functional behaviour in the face of a great blow, to me. Grats and good luck.

This place has done nasty things to my mind too.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I suppose this answers your other thread. Closure is always a good thing.

Seriously though, good luck in your hunt. Unemployment ftw.

Thanks all for the words of encouragement. There aren’t that many jobs available where we are moving but we have high hopes. We have also come to the conclusion that the wife won’t be able to stay at home with the kids for the time being. This is the other shore dropping things were going so well that I was kind of wondering when it would come.

You should show your old employer just what a criminal you can be.

I don't know what to suggest. Rape his stapler or something.

I don't know you, but still, my sympathies. So much for your boss "going to bat" for you. I'd forget the lawyer you mentioned before in the other thread, I doubt it will do more than drain your finances.

Only things I can suggest is to do your best, and stay honest with your future employers.

I'm in the same boat you are Aadyn; I have accounts on Monster and Dice and a bottle of Jack Daniel's. Soon I hope to find a job up near Albany so we can finally move.

Well Im drinking Old Smuggler atm and the Irish I have on hand is Kilbeggan. I also drink Bushmills, and Clontarf as well. Though I should take some of my surplus to grab some of the high end Bushmills.
Was very depressed yesterday after the remembrance ceremony/internment of my brother's ashes. Felling a bit better today, what with having gone to work and giving tours on the ship. The Scotch is due to the fact that I have been walking around with a cold since Monday. Also a sore throat if I talk too much. Did a lot of psychic screaming last weekend which I believe as a partial reason for the sore throat.

Take it easy, maybe the wife can go back to work for a bit and you be the caregiver for the children if work doesnt come around soon.
I was crushed and depressed when laid off in July of 2006, even though I had a job lined up 3 days after I was laid off. Good luck.
And to you as well deballic.

What really hits close to home is I have never been fired from a job in my life. It's like a sledgehammer to the gut. I really hope I find something soon. We are moving at the end of June come hell or high water so I’m looking in that location. Sucks because if I do find a job, I’ll have to move down there sooner and then the wife and kids will come once the daughter is out of school.

Clovis and Fresno have a better job market than the rest of that area. I'm sure that you'll be able to find something. You bought your house outright, correct? At least you don't have to worry about foreclosure.

Bushmill's....you're awesome.

Good luck with the applications Aadyn. I know I have not posted much in response to you but I like you a lot and wish you and your family all the best. I'll also be trying some bushmills the next time I order whiskey.
