Today's NPR post takes us to an "exclusive first listen" of Leonard Cohen's new album 'Live in London'.

Enjoy.

I hate to brag, but I was there Smiley: grin

Well, I went to see him in July 2008 in the O2 arena. Might not have been the actual day they were recording, though.

Can't listen from work; how's the old guy holding up?

He's playing Chicago come May but tickets were already gone by the time I heard about it. Which was about a half hour after tickets went on sale Smiley: laugh

He was brilliant in 08. His voice was still there, he was funny, gentlemanly, and, dare I say, quite charming. He was 70, but had more energy than most 20 year olds I've met.

Congrats!

I've listened. I like it. Mostly. I still have some issues with Cohen's singing, but I think as he gets older it's better.

Tickets.... plural, eh?

There's no reason for me to hate you if you play your cards right.

It makes me want to drink whiskey and smoke a cigar.

At which point I smoke a joint and make myself a cuppa.
