If they're such a weak sack that they're going to that anyway, then pushing them along just hastens the inevitable and, usually, shuts off another spigot of whinging and hand-wringing idiocy.

One thing I've noticed.

BT's PM box is always open to anyone with problems. He's like 7/11, he's not always doing business but he's always open.

If only you could be taken seriously but that really is a very good psychological dig. Mindel goes for the blatant "go kill yourself" and you go for the very sneaky, creative way. Brilliant but very cruel.

You undermine what you think she values by casting doubt..... even your ending sentence gives it away. Yet it's almost a gamble, either way you "win" - you've contributed to isolating her by planting a suggestion and at the farthest end there is a chance she will contact you regardless.

Not nice but brilliant.
