An enabler in most definitions is a person who through his or her actions allows someone else to achieve something. Most often the term enabler is associated with people who allow loved ones to behave in ways that are destructive. For example, an enabler wife of an alcoholic might continue to provide the husband with alcohol. A person might be an enabler of a gambler or compulsive spender by lending them money to get out of debt.

In this fashion, though the enabler may be acting out of love and trying to help or protect a person, he or she is actually making a chronic problem like an addiction worse. By continuing to lend money to the gambler, for example, the gambler doesn’t have to face the consequences of his actions. Someone is there to bail him out of trouble and continue to enable his behavior.

As I already told BT, I do understand the points made. But it still doesn't mean you get to ***** about "should have been PMs" and then turn 180 and publicly tell Bunny to GTFO. Now, I don't have the time to reply to the rest, but I'll be back later tonight.

Oh hell no.

Someone points out my flaws, even a so-called "friend", and they go straight on the ol' Kill List.

You are still friends with those who were trying to get you to sober up.

I think North is either reading into things too much or pissed that I'm trying to save a friend from being the next Nagah/Melody implosion.

It's a continuum, pretty hard to quantify. Somewhere between gbaji and MonxDot.

It's a wide, nebulous line, but someone has to walk it.

Who me? Not diagnosed, no. Smiley: tongue

If they don't diagnose you, it means you're sane, right?

I don't think you understood what Nio was saying in either thread, the 'should have been PMs' or this one.

Oh hell no. Not you. The comparison of Gbaji and Monxdot would equal someone who is Bipolar.

My bad for not clarifying. Smiley: eek

Depends how big the knife you threaten them with is. Anything under five inches and you're OK. If you have to go above that then you could well be a few periodic components short of a fourier transform, a few ships short of a fleet, a few pieces of roadkill short of a happy meal - insane.

On the other hand, psychology is an imprecise science. I just listen to the voices in my head. As long as they say you're sane you shouldn't worry.

What I think Nio is saying, and what personally makes me unwilling to recognize Bunny as anything other than a drain on everyone who knows her, is her total denial of accountability. She'll lash out, act the fool, and when called on it she always has an excuse; I'm tired/medicated/stressed/whatever.

The key is to be yourself, or a reasonable facsimile, but ever unapologetically. Particularly when the entire premise of your posting persona is that your life is agony. It becomes utterly exhausting to communicate reasonably with a person when they moan and moan and then given the choice between ownership or evasion they choose the latter.

... or as we say here:

There are some people who should never be asked "how are you?" (unless you want a 2 hr monologue of medical history, menopausal angst and general whinery)

I don't usually have an issue with Bunneh, as she's on my "Only read if you're too bored to find toenail-clipping entertaining" list.

I think the thing is that NorthAI hasn't been around to evolve with Bunny's situation like most of us have. We were there and reading in the beginning, and saw it continue on until now... North was there in the way beginning, then disappeared for a while, and is now back. While we've continued to observe, he has just started observing again and therefore still feels how most of us used to feel.

Bunneh really is a very sweet person, while I love to read her posts when she is in her episodes I do worry about her during her very noticeable depressive moods. We all know bunneh's are not vicious and Bunneh does not have it in her to be out and out mean and vicious, I think this is why the Guenny post was full of fail. I can appreciate the fact that I too find Guenny to be an cnut, I think it was handled without the mental and emotional fortitude that it takes to rightly call someone out and pursue that path to the full extent.

I too have a personal blog. I have one for gaming but rarely update it, I have one for family that I update about once a week to just let the various parents and extended family know about what is going on in our lives and then I have a 3rd one that is private, no one but me has access and I only post in it when I really need to get something out of my head. It's really helped me even though there is no feedback to it. I just need to be able to pour out my thoughts and feelings and then when I read back over what I write I find a calm that was eluding me.

For those that say TLDR: I also agree BunBun would find a personal blog helpful, but that she should not feel that she can't open up to us here when she really needs to.

I believe you can go check the thread, where I agreed that I was wrong. Said my biggest regret was hurting Guenny. Everyone drop it and leave Guenny alone.

I think its on the first page.

I have a journal, but thanks.

I get it. Other people can get mad at another poster, but I disagree with one and HOLY ****!!!

My first post wasn't even angry post. It started out light, then spiraled out of control. Not my intention.

"Bunny in ****** in the head." I get it. I am not going to dance for the OoT. I ended the post on the first page.

I owe no one else an apology. I gave one to the person I had wronged.

The fact that you carried it on, is not my fault.

Thanks.
Love,
~Bun

This. Bunny's been here for years and she's not going anywhere anytime soon. At least that's what I told myself so now I just skim over her posts and if they seem crazy, I just skip them for a few days altogether.
