been there, done that, lasted a week.

And Shadow you seriously have no idea what the hell you are talking about. You didnt even when you tried playing it. I hardly doubt you are the voice of experience in this particular games, as you tend to think yourself of all MMOs. Smiley: rolleyes

Emerald Dream, though, because I need my world pvp fix. I RP, so that ups my fluffy-bunny points by a good margin.

I'll come to Emerald Dream and role-play jaw dropping dps.

Eventually.

I won't.

Jade and I just dinged 70 yesterday and got to see the new expansion(months old, but new to me) for the first time. Also, I have played with an Allakhazam WoW guild on a roleplaying server before and it ended with a lot of butthurt. So not much different from the OoT guild I played with on a PvP server.

You know what I find really amusing about the whole thing? The people that caused this near-breakup of Untouchable Sage never met me until long after I'd quit drinking. They were never around when I would flay open Timelord's hairless boy-sack and gnaw out his ********* like a monkey eating an orange while boozing myself in to unconsciousness on a nightly basis. No, mean ogre that I am, I insisted on people showing up to raids on time and being capable of performing at an abysmally low standard. Fucking ***** don't know from mean. For crying out loud, not only was I sober, but I was still getting laid regularly when they knew me; I was like Princess Sweetiekins of the Fairylump Kingdom.

All this goes to prove one thing: don't play WoW with a gang of fucking pansies. I'll be back to Crushridge at some point though. Probably after 3.1 comes out, since I'd like to at least see Ulduar.

And Sami, I'm playing a human mage. We're pushing 70 now, and I am trying my best to model my playstyle after Kile's.

So you ******* at them a lot and they left? Is that what the gist is here? I stopped playing awhile ago, so I don't really know.

Among the laundry list of complaints about me, I:

  • Refused to invite individuals to raids who could not break 1k DPS in heroic epics.
  • Refused to bring incompetent healers.
  • "Stressed people out" by reviewing WWS reports post-raid and discussing ways that certain individuals could perform better
  • Spent too much of my non-raiding time playing with my friends.
  • Leveled an alt.
  • Did not approach level-80 guild members to put together heroic runs for them.
  • Asked that if people wanted me to tank for them, they should ask me directly via whisper.

A note on those last four items; I am not exaggerating. These are near-verbatim.

I think the guild was more fun when it was just like Mal and Gutler and Ari and some of the other regulars laughing it up. Oh well, I'm enjoying barely playing LOTRO right now, so I'm not really missing anything after all.

I'm finding it a nice distraction from WoW. Frankly, I've done just about it all in WoW and can't think of a reason to play. Ulduar is not enough to stick around for.

I am digging the complexity of EQII and the depth of the play. It's a bit WoW-ish, but they all just sit around and rip-off the others' ideas anymnore.

The concept of achievement points actually doing something is nice, plus the housing piece.

Made it to lvl 14. Had a great time in a mentoring group, especially when I feigned death and couldn't figure out how to get up for a couple minutes.

On my gnome mage, I use Cone of Cold egregiously because it makes my leveling buddy laugh every time. I call it the Cone of Fearsome Terror and demand that he respect the Cone.

Silliness is a requirement, apparently.

So, what you are saying is they could only be AFK for 63% of the Boss fights?

LoTRO has a buff effect called Shiny Happy People. It's actually a debuff effect landed by some giant frogs in the Water Works of the Mines of Moria. It makes your character sway and your screen goes all psychedelic. It's pretty fun. I spent a whole evening trying to get the frogs to hit me with their stuff (and that, folks, is the excitement that LoTRO has to offer).

Mindel, I can't imagine people EVER leaving your guild!! Oh wait, yes I can.

When I left, it had nothing to do with the guild, as I just gave up on WoW altogether. For now anyway. That guild was the most fun I've had in ages.

Really, what this thread has become is how Mindel misses me on WoW.

Yeah I only left because the prospect of never paying for an MMO again sounded pretty damn good.

Those people never belonged in the guild. Untouchable Sage was my brainchild, a guild founded upon the idea that if I could gather enough broken folks from these forums I could harvest their dignity and sate my desire to scream into a headset. And for a long time, it worked really, really well.

Nope, they recently changed that. To compete with WoWs fast leveling they enhanced experience gain from level 20-70. Plus if you get into mentored groups, you already get bonus xp when you are mentored. It does start to drag once you hit 70 but that's just comparing it to the previous levels. You can still level fast.

Plus once you hit 80 you still gain xp for achievements, which there are currently 200 AAs you can get. So even when you hit max level you still have goals to achieve. There is still a lot to offer once you hit max level.

Lots of soloing, lots of group content, I think raids can start as early as lvl 20? (24 man raids). Each class is usable to the raids. They amke it so it is the players ability not the class that matters in raids. there is a spot for all classes in raids as each actually offers something. That doesnt mean that healers are less needed though, however there are 6 different kinds of healers to play and each one brings something special and needed to the raiding/group table.

Housing is fluff but fun. Guild houses are amazing, especially the highest tier. The accommodations offered are well worth the money.

Neph if you have some free time, feel free to go to the commonlands docks and visit the Bane guildhall. Thats my guild. I'm currently revamping parts of it so dont mind any dissarray. I've also got you on my friends list if I spelled it correctly, so hopefully I'll see you on here and there. Any questions feel free to ask.

I'm playing WoW again and having a pretty good time. But I really miss EQ2. I had to quit when my video card died and the one I have now won't play EQ2 for more than a minute, even on the lowest graphic settings. But I'll be back at some point.
