I just think it's funny that you choose to attempt to rebut the one person who responded to you but didn't call you a liar about how you choose to drink

I believe I responded to every single post which quoted one of mine somewhat equally.

You ignored mine! :_(

that's a sad face with a tear

I understand what Gbaji is saying.

I drink occasionally (maybe once a month). I never have more than two drinks a night and I allow myself 1 hour after 1 drink or 2 hours after a second drink before driving. When I was young and stupid, this wasn't the case.

With one or two drinks I know how many I've had. If I had more, I could lose track.

Now when someone says "I know my limits," they usually mean "I know how I feel and when to stop drinking" in a more generic sense -- they're a tragedy waiting to happen.

Like many, I drove drunkenly as a teen and twentish. It scares me now when I think about it. But that was a different time when I was young. Drunk driving was not the 'evil' that it is today.

I haven't drank alcohol and driven in years. I haven't a clue where one drink would put my blood-alcohol level, but I'm little. I can usually 'feel' one drink. Drinking away from home is never more than one, possibly two glasses of wine - and then the hubby drives (he don't drink at all).

Figures.

It's just them dam liberals that can't figure out when they've had enough drink to impair their driving.

I had enough to drink when I was about twenty.

No, it would be "damned liberal" (if that were my intent).

I have absolutly zero tolerance for drunk driving. There is no excuse whatsoever. If you are drunk whilst driving, you are a @#%^ing tool and it should be legal for anyone to end your life at will before you kill some innocent bystanders. It isn't a "youthful indiscretion". Just because nothing happened that time, that does not mean it was ok.

There is no excuse. Whimsi, whoever you are debating with is a @#%^ing tool and you should kick their ***.
