Eh, maybe. He's being treated as a hero, by his peers at least. I can't imagine he'll be mistreated too badly inside.

No one can accuse the Iraqi courts of being loafers.

In cases like this it really sucks that you have to uphold the law. I'd hate to have to take a walk in their shoes.

Maybe the time in prison with allow the man to polish his public behavior until he becomes a shining member of society.

Given the amount of foreign influence in the government, I'm sure the Iraqi court felt shoehorned.

I think the social structure in prison will give him the support he needs.

With enough public support, this case'll be given the boot.

How the hell do you people do this? It's like every single time there is an awkward news story out come the puns. I can't even think of a single one with planning, much less off of the cuff.

To be a real Asylum poster, you have to walk the walk.

Anyway, I'm not sure prison is that great for him. Personally, I would've sent him to Boot camp.

In all seriousness, I really hope that the reason why he got a 3 year sentence was because he missed Bush.

Because from I've read, apart from the shoe-throwing incident, this journalist was really a goody two-shoes.

No, he got 3 years because he didn't pull the pin first.

Stay classy San Diego.
