Prayers and thoughts out to the victims.

Oh whoops, the victims, right. Prayers and thoughts.

I do a Nexa and go all analytical and I was totally caught up in wondering about all the elements about the attackers, and what makes them that way, and what would be effective preventative strategies. Also wondering about the statistics.

Apparently the killer in Germany felt depressed, he 'joked' around on the internet the day before the attack saying he's going to go back to his old school and show them all. He added "lol" so the person he was talking to thought he was just joking. (apparently he said: "I'm sick of this life, it's always the same, everybody laughs at me, nobody takes me serious and realises my potential")

Depressed, dumped, ignored by most people,... Sounds like a lot of people I know, I have no idea what the final push is for this kind of people though.

The EU announced a law on video game ratings and possibly creating a 'red button', to allow parents to swiftly stop kids from playing. Germany has been behind this kind of thing for a while, they do not allow all games to be sold as it is.

What is it about spring that brings out the crazies? Prayers and thoughts out to the victims.

So actually, I heard statistics long ago that the murder rate was correlated to the Santa Ana wind conditions we have on occasion here in southern California. They are warm, Spring is warm. I've never actually heard there is a seasonal component to violent crime (I'll ask my friend in law enforcement next time I see him if he's heard of it) but my answer is that it might be the heat.

I could see a seasonal correlation, but relating to the body's hormonal responses to those changes. That might explain some of it. We still respond on a primal level to the natural cycles of life on Earth.

The "red button" already exists. It's called the power switch.

From now on, Spring doesn't herald new life, it ushers in mass amounts of death.

These people are always depressed and down on life. Why don't they just take a pill like the rest of us and pretend to be happy?

Yeah, requires work though, and a slight interest of the parents.

Same with the rating system, if parents don't care and buy the game themselves, it's all moot.

On the other hand, I wonder just how many kids are pushed that hard by playing games.

Also, German police are doubting the truth of that online message I posted in my previous post. It could very well be from some guy who thinks he's funny.

Yeah, but if they were being logical, they'd just get night jobs. Worked for me.
