Oh, I actually have never gone into anyone's image files. I just save out images that people post themselves in threads. Not all of them, but I try to collect one good one of each of the regulars that I recognise as being around a lot. If I can't get a good one, I get a fuzzy and awkward one, because it's better than nothing.

And I save out some of the really funny ones posted in threads.

And the drunk ones which are a subset of the funny ones.

And the ones that are really a bit racy and private and it's a wonder but it's great they posted it in a public thread.

And pics they post of their relatives, if it's a poster I really care about.

And their cats sometimes. But not all the cats, because some cats are just like all the other cats.

But not dogs, usually. I don't care about dogs so much.

I only have the Dyadem and his dog one because I care about Dyadem.

And the Nixnot on his couch with his dog one because it's such a great shot of Nixnot, and they look so comfy and cosy together on a comfy and cosy patterned couch.

I actually have a second one of Wint saved out, it's that gorgeous shot of you and Aedyn on the floor, with her cupped in the crook of your shoulder.

It would have been SO cool if I could have whipped out an actual TruinAlexander photo right now, but alas, I do not have one.

She looks like she's expounding on matters of state while relaxing in a nice bath.

And another reason for me not to post my picture again.

Honestly? What's the harm in someone knowing what you look like?

I mean the only reason people don't post pictures is because the don't want stalkers to get hold of their information. But let's look at the possible scenarios:

1. You don't post pictures of yourself on the forum.
--1a. No one stalks you.
OR
--1b. You pick up a stalker. He gleans your location or other personal information over a long course of time, hacking, or finding other places you frequent on the internet.

2. You have pictures of yourself on the forum.
--2a. No one stalks you.
OR
--2b. You pick up a stalker. He gleans your location or other personal information over a long course of time, hacking, or finding other places you frequent on the internet. This could have happened with or without your picture. In fact, your picture doesn't really help him in anyway, other than to maybe cross check your information on two separate places you've posted your photo.

I just see no logical reason. Your photo is not your identity, it gives a person nothing other than what you look like.

Have you never watched Death Note?!

I don't consider everyone who looks at this public, internet website my "friend." I don't know any of the lurkers, and I don't like absolutely everyone who posts here.

It doesn't really matter, though. You don't have to see the big deal.
