I need a second opinion here. My day is starting off on the wrong foot more because of which of the following:

1. My child is projectile vomiting all over the house.
2. I have "all the single ladies" by Beyonce stuck in my head.

One would think the first, but after 6+ hours of humming "you should have put a ring on it" I think it's more likely that the second will be my reason for snapping.

My ear worm cure: sing it like Bob Dylan. By the chorus you won't be able to remember what it's supposed to sound like.

Sorry to hear Hannah isn't feeling well.

Oddly enough, I've found that listening to the song that you have stuck in your head helps to make it go away. I have no explanation for this. Also, I woke up late yesterday and had to drive a bit faster than I legally should have been. Luckily for me that a rather polite state trooper was nice enough to point it out to me. A 160 dollar ticket and I was 20 minutes late for work because of it. Yeah, that was a good way to start the day.

You should count your blessings that all the single ladies aren't projectile vomiting throughout your house.

I just watched the video on youtube...they kind of look like they *want* to vomit, but can't quite manage.

If you do snap, just go to a public place, like a mall, and careful aim your projectile vomiting child at groups of people.

Fuck it, go to a mall anyway. At least then it's not your responsibility to clean any of it up.

This is exactly why children should be kept in unlit, unfinished basements with a single drain.

Actually, you don't really need the drain.

That's what I was going to say, they're probably related.

I never really got songs stuck in my head. I can just stop them - even when I was a kid. However, I'm totally tone deaf. I don't know if they are related.

I tried Itsy Bitsy with no luck, but this worked.

I have, "When the Pin Hits the Shell." By the drive By Truckers stuck in my head, once I listen to that song I can never not hum it or something.
