Yeah, saying "Wow, he got panned pretty hard" was exactly that. Man, you are hurting to scream "It's not true!! All a liberal LIE!!" which is even funnier because before you said "Yeah, so what if they did? It doesn't matter!". And, of course, "Those guys DON'T COUNT!!!"

You're all over the board scrambling to defend this guy. Don't get me wrong, it's funny as hell and I look forward to your next post on the topic but... wow.

Nah, the GOP is begging people to take them seriously again. Shit, Jindal was begging people to take the Republican party seriously again. Sounding like a doofus while he did it didn't help the cause. I'm not saying his speech was the end of the GOP or anything but you're seriously sounding desperate here.

Fuck, I hope so. If the idea was to challenge Obama on style, it's going to be a long goddamn winter in exile for you idiots.

FWIW, progressive radio talk show host Thom Hartmann has been broadcasting from the Conservative Political Action Conference the last couple of days, and one of the guys he was interviewed yesterday morning (a conservative) was talking about how conservatives saw Jindal's speech as a failure.

Anyone not brain damaged in a thresher accident saw it as a failure. I think the salient point is that it was meaningless regardless of how well it was received. Low IQ racists who love Jesus aren't going to vote for the Indian, even after you explain to them that he's a dot on the head Indian and that he won't scalp their women. Without those votes, you can't be nominated in the Republican Party.

It's worth nothing because he [wasn't really a conservative/was brainwashed by the liberal media/is just some random guy/was take out of context].

Well it was a dude from CPAC which is the Mecca of conservative gatherings. That's gotta be worth at least what, 10 or 20, regular conservatives, right?

I guess my question is whether you somehow think this is in any way broadly representative of Conservative opinion about the speech. Or maybe it's that liberals are looking only for conservatives who didn't like the speech and then plastering them all over the place? Gee... Wait. Let me think here... Lol. Media spin?
Personally I don't give two sh*ts if anyone anywhere liked it or not, I thought it was terrible.

Did YOU like it?

Maybe it's that the guy's speech was universally panned because he made Forrest Gump look like Clarence Darrow.

It appealed to people who want substance over style!

Which tells me that most conservatives who've expressed an opinion on it prefer style over substance.
