Waikiki says hello to everyone, btw.
I am personally embarking on the Totem economic stimulus package. I blew through a few thou in the last week, throwing money at people selling items Mrs. Totem found enchanting like swimsuits, koa wood purses, Reyn dresses (a artist who more or less began the Hawaiian shirt culture), jewelry, and shoes.
We went around Oahu on scooters, got cut off by a taxi, washed the front wheel out and wrecked the machine; went snorkling at Hanu'uma Bay, climbed the Pali mountains, and soaked up the sun on pristine sand at Sandy Beach. We got wet from the spray from the Manoa Falls, hung out with the King K and surfed in his watery kingdom. We visited the turtles near the Pipeline, shared a meal with some burnt out college students on the Strip, and bought two Pono ukeleles and entertained tourists heading to the beach with campfire songs and badly played chords.
We gorged on pineapple, Kona coffee, and Kalua pig, ate lots of sand and coral while body surfing the North Shore.
Life is good.
And if your financial situation improves over the next few months because I singlehandedly boosted the economy, you're welcome.
