I've yet to meet a vegetarian who was actually fit. Sure, they're generally skinny, but what meat is on them tends to be soft and flabby. Being a vegetarian doesn't make you healthy.

I wonder if human milk cheese would be acceptable on a fruitarian plan since no living thing is harmed to obtain it.

I dunno, but swallowing is definitely against the rules for fruitarians.

Not that that's a problem for most female fruitarians.

A meatless diet tends to give you less protein than you need to get fit. Vegetables do contain proteins, but not in the same quantities as meat. You have to eat a fckload of veggies to get the same amount of protein there is in a chicken breast.

Most vegetarians I've met just seemed pale and flabby. I dated a vegetarian once, and she weighed about forty kilograms. She was literally half my weight. She was a wisp.

Quinoa and Soy will fit the bill for the protein needed.

I'd be willing to bet that vegetarians tend to be less than muscular is more because of the type of people the lifestyle tends to attract. While I'm sure that there have been a few well muscled vegetarians, it just seems that the granola children outnumber them by a large margin.

I'm not saying that there aren't vegetarian bodybuilders out there who can equal omnivores. I'm saying that any time I hear about fit vegetarians, they tend to be individuals with leaner runner/cyclist type bodies instead of large muscled type.

But we're not talking about the fit ones. Every vegetarian I've ever met has been a skinny *** hippie. I'd be willing to bet that there are probably quite a few vegetarians out there who have just as little clue about their nutrition as the average non-vegetarian. They just avoid meat and call it good. Laziness: it's the American way.

To be fair, I tend to think of your average meat eater as a bit overweight(20-30 pounds). But I also tend to think that they have a bit more muscle, because fat is heavy.

Which means the answer to the original question is yes, vegans can swallow (unless, of course, the guy hasn't consented.)

This whole discussion reminds me of the incident a year or two ago about a pair of parents who, in the name of veganism, fed their infant nothing but apple juice and soy milk (not even soy formula!) and ended up facing criminal charges when surprise! the baby died.

No they won't, not on their own. Any type of meat supplies all the types of proteins that humans need. Any one plant source doesn't. It only supplies 1/3 of the types of proteins needed. For a vegetarian to get their daily protein they need to eat at least one serve of legumes AND one serve of nuts, AND one serve of grains. Soy fits the bill for legumes. But while it's good bulk, if you are not also eating nuts and grains daily with your soy you will not have enough protein for your DNA to run your body properly.

Or just consume enough complete proteins. I eat an average of one and a third cheese sandwiches, a bowl of cereal, 165 ml of milkshake and a third of an egg a day. I'm not sure why you ignored eggs and dairy completely - perhaps you have an irrational hatred of vegetarians ( =( ), perhaps you thought we were talking about vegans, perhaps I'm missing something, perhaps perhaps perhaps OH GOD A SHARK.

GET IN THE CAR.

Oh right, I disreguarded dairy becuase only 90% of those of European decent can eat it without harm, the other 10% and everyone from African, Asian, and every other part of the world can't, unless they take a lactase enzyme digestive supplement to digest the lactose every time they eat dairy.

Those 90% of Europeans produce enzymes to digest dairy past the age of four. Every other human stops making them at age 4. Thereafter eating dairy without a supplement stuffs their bodies right up, with a huge array of subtle and not so subtle inflammatory diseases/problems. I know, I'm one of the unlucky 10% of Caucasians.

Haven't looked into eggs.

I know, you and Mindel have brought it up several times before. I can't really help that Europeans are better than everyone else at digesting dairy products. Plus, I bet most people here can consume dairy, as it's mainly an American forum.
