The newest member of the RedPhoenixxx family!

He's named Ernesto, he's 8 weeks old, and he's pretty chilled out. We're gonna get on great Smiley: grin

I just got him today, so he's still getting used to his surroundings, and to us. I'm as happy as 14 year old who's just had his first kiss.

Thanks for all the help and advice, you guys have been great.

Seriously, laser pointer. Also, I think I've been spending too much time on the internet. It just seems wrong to have cat pictures without captions.

I hope you adopted. Not sure how animal shelters work across the pond, but there are always plenty of kittens at our local Humane Society.

Edit: and congrats.

Well, the last two don't lend themselves as well to captions as the first one, which is screaming out for a "but why you try steal mah soul"-type caption.

Keee-YOOOT! He is absolutely lovely.

And I second the laser pointer comment. There is just no fun in this world like watching a kitten chase a laser pointer.

That's a cute looking fella!

He's looking fairly mischievous in that second picture, something in his eyes. Going to be a handful Smiley: grin

Hehe, thanks. I've gotta that, so far, he's really sociable, cuddly and curious. It's pretty great having him here.

He's upper-middle class, but but it looks as though he will devote his life to fighting for the lower classes.

With Marx, Lenin, Fidel, and all the other kittens in the nursery.

It was, but he seems to be more interested in Rastafarianism.

Kids these days Smiley: rolleyes

Animal advocates say to avoid using a laser pointer. Sure its fun to chase, but the cat can never catch it, so it tends to make then neurotic (their words, not mine).

So, yeah get that laser pointer and get busy!

Remember, cute little kittens are *not* to be fed. You feed them, before long they get bigger and then they're no longer cute little kittens! I feel the same way about babies. Cute and cuddly, but after a few months they start getting big and obnoxious. Unfortunately my wife has this bad habit of continually feeding Thom.

Ernesto has to be one of the most amusing kitty names that I have ever heard. My two cats are named Apple and Cider. They were both from a local apple orchard where the Humane Society setup.

I didn't get my cat from the humane society... but I did get him from a partially feral cat who had a litter down the road. (She wasn't owned by the people, but she lived in their yard). I figure it's close enough.

Awww, very cute too.

Ours is not too crazy, though. I mean, he does silly things, like chase his tail when standing on top of the telly, then falling down and looking very confused, but I think that's normal for a kitten. He's very sociable and playful in general, and loves the attention.

And he is just ridiculously cute.
