...his slip was showing.

Really though, question for parents: how do you/did you deal with your toddlers through the gender-questioning years? I'm trying to stay neutral to the issue (not acting as though one is better than the other but explaining the benefits of each) to Hannah when she says things like that she "wants a *****", but I'm just curious as to how others approached the topic. She got in an argument with another child at school yesterday regarding vaginas. There was a demonstration on the part of the other child to prove to Hannah that she did, in fact, have a ******. We've always referred to her genetalia as the "*****" since it's all-encompassing and calling the external portion the "******" is inaccurate...

Anywho, I'm looking at Tare, DF, and Elne here since I know that thus far, DSD only has dirty little *****-laden boys.

Couldn't you stuff her back in your snatch and let her wiggle her way back out?

And if she wants a ***** just give her one of your old used toys. In my family we always had hand-me-downs. Of course nobody ever said they wanted a *****.

Afraid I don't have any old used *****'s lying around. I tend to get new ones when the old ones wear out.

Now that I think of it this could solve your argument, Nexa. Tell that hairdresser's boyfriend or whatever you'll exchange the bed for a dong. It's a win-win.

I'm sure this makes sense with any kind of context whatsoever. Hell, maybe it's even funny!

If I recall, I used some kind of an approach that spoke to the fact that both boys and girls had reproductive parts, both necessary, just different, but all private. I had one of each gender, only two years apart so had to cover all bases.

That makes sense. I, as I may have mentioned, have done some research in sexuality so I'm not concerned about "making a mistake" or anything, but I like hearing how others have approached the topic.

By the by, "From Diapers To Dating" is a great book about talking about sex with children of various ages, if anyone is looking for something.

Ahh, ok. I figured the "hairdresser" reference must be DSD, who is married by the way MF, but I didn't know what the bed/dong issue was about, haha.

Tare is borrowing, no giving, a child's bed to DSD as Ashe is having some issues with the crib. Keep up with the gossip!

Ah, well, Tare is giving DSD a kiddie bed, so I reckon MF thought you (Tare) should propose an exchange.

Yeah, "funny" would be giving this line of thought too much credit; but to be fair it's even less funny when explained.

Hearing it from the boys, penisis are better, because you can see where and aim appropriately to where you're peeing Smiley: rolleyes

Actually though we just answered the questions as much as was asked. Xavier knows he has a *****. He knows hes a boy. He knows Im a girl and my nether region is not the same as a boys. I guess I've been fortunate enough that Xavier has not gotten into any peen wars comparing, or to compare girly parts to boy parts.

Ashe is starting to take notice now, but he still has a way to go before we get to the good questions

Yeah, Tare would never accept such an exchange since Canadian women only make ****** out of ice.

haha, having met the both of you, I'd be more than surprised if Flea let you "lord" anything over her.
