Nope. We were thinking about it but two trips to VA within a month's time was too many. We settled for being in Grant Park on election night.

Did anyone else get the generic "invitation" from the Obama campaign? I'm going to frame mine and convince my grandchildren that it's special. Someday after I die they can embarass themselves on the Antiques Roadshow hologram with it.

"Rahm Emanuel delivered it to me personally!"

"Ooohhhh... did he really breathe fire?"

"Still have the charred carpet he stood on, yup."

I'm sure CNN will have a feed.

I'll be shamelessly watching in the break room.

I got this info off an email from my University. They'll be streaming it live in various student lounges, so I'm sure it'll be out there.

I can't believe NPR won't be streaming it.

Secretary Hilary needs to do something about the bags under her eyes.

And maybe wear a color that doesn't make her look jaundiced.

This is the first time I really read an inaugural program but for the past two elections(especially the last one) did they really refer to GWB as "honorable"?

Anyway. I won't be able to make it there but I'll try to at least listen in on the radio or watch on the tv.

It's standard for a number of elected officials, including the president-elect, vice-president, governors, mayors, all federal and state judges, and some ambassadors. The President and VP are sometimes also referred to as "Excellency" when overseas.

Funny stuff.

It's going to be broadcast live on the BBC World Service. Likely that that's also true for Word News.

I wonder if I'll get to watch it. I only really get a 12:00-12:30 lunch break. Maybe I'll sneak up to my desk early and "write some programs".
