I was going to blog this, but I figured it might help other folks too. I'm starting a list that I can update throughout the year when I see something I want but am not going to buy for myself (at least not right away). This way, when it gets to November and people start asking me what I want for Christmas, I have something to say besides socks and a football.

So far:
-assuming I've moved, a nice H frame easel for me and the Melissa and Doug easle set for Hannah
-a computer like this: http://steampunkworkshop.com/victorian-all-one-pc
-an antique (or replica) world map
-clocks, old dark wood or warm metal varieties

Things I would want to buy myself with Christmas money:

-a library card catalog
-an old seed display rack

Feel free to add stuff for yourself, I'll bump the thread at the beginning of November!

I imagine you could buy a nice used car for the same money it would cost to have that custom built.

Why would I want a used car? I have a car. I want that computer!

You clearly don't understand women. I'd be building it.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

I'd get started, were I you. Waiting until the last minute doesn't appear to ever work in your favor.

I used to have an old typewriter...I kind of like the keyboards.
