I just hate collecting a ransom from a Saudi oil company and then not living to spend it, don't you?

Quote:
(01-10) 07:41 PST MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) --

Five of the Somali pirates who released a hijacked oil-laden Saudi supertanker drowned with their share of a reported $3 million ransom after their small boat capsized, a pirate and port town resident said Saturday.

Pirate Daud Nure says the boat with eight people on board overturned in a storm after dozens of pirates left the Sirius Star following a two-month standoff in the Gulf of Aden that ended Friday.

He said five people died and three people reached shore after swimming for several hours. Daud Nure was not part of the pirate operation but knew those involved.

Jamal Abdulle, a resident of the Somali coastal town of Haradhere, close to where the ship had been anchored, also confirmed that the boat sank and that the eight's portion of the ransom money that had been shared among dozens of pirates was lost.

On the other hand it's pretty fUCking awesome to be quoted as "Pirate Daud Nure". I only hope he threw in a random "yarr".

The important portion of the article is of course the fact that there is 3 million dollars worth of sunken treasure to be had!

To the submarine!

It's just paper money that disintegrated in the ocean.

Well, one of the pirates' bodies washed up on shore with $153,000 on it.

Someone really clicked on their red arrows of life.

One of my navy friends was telling me that they killed over 100 in 3 months at the back end of last year, waves are not the only danger for pirates it's seems.

it's an unreported war out on the east African coastline.

Which matches the unreported war going inside the coastline.

So say what you want about Somalis, at least they're consistent.

Sure, it looks like it capsized.

It was actually the mercenaries that were hired by the Saudis.
