I'm thinking of a slighty rumpled and tawdry Flapper girl when I read "dime store *****." She's there by the soda fountain drinking a Coca-Cola float, eyeing every sailor that walks in the door. Upon making eye contact, she demurely lowers her gaze, then licks her lips lasciviously, although in truth, it was just to get that last tasty drop of ice cream that missed her mouth.
