I think it will be years before they get rid of fighting. There are still enough old-time hockey players*, fans, and hockey execs that believe that the majority of players still gives a rats **** about The Code.

Only as long as spectators enjoy watching other people hurt one another. I'd say only 30 or 40 thousand more years, maximum.
