You meet one alone in a dark alley. Eek!
Which is Scarier?
Demon:78 (78.8%)
Alien:21 (21.2%)
Total:99
No further details are forthcoming except to say that it's very real so saying "That one 'cause it doesn't exist anyway" won't help except to potentially get your face eaten.

Demons.

Demons are like, 99% evil. Aliens have a good chance of being nice.

A "demon" already implies evil and hostility. An alien could be a good guy, like ET!

Before I answer, when you say "Alien", do you mean the creature from the film of the same name? Or any random type of alien? I mean, if it's the Asgard from SG1, not so scared. Martians from Mars Attacks, maybe. Some bug creature in an Edgar suit? Much moreso...

I had to go with demon. The existence of demons would imply that an ultimate evil also exists. If an ultimate evil exists, it would stand to reason that an ultimate good exists as well. One would then conclude that there is, in fact, a God.

In which case, I'm fUcked.

This made me think about Alien.

Ah yes, the eternal question. I ponder this every day.

I vote Demon because I think there's less of a chance being infected with some alien (so to speak) virus. Also, the Demon may only want to barter with me for my soul or something whereas the alien will probably just vaporize me so he can take my clean water. I would also think that its more likely that the Demon speaks English so communication may be easier. (And the alien may speak outside of my frequency range anyway, duh!)

Although I ultimately went demon, I have the advantage of that if it's an alien, I'm unlikely to have anything better than a garbage can lid or old cardboard box to defend myself with. If it's a demon, I can fall back on a string of frantically chanted 'Our Father's."

Edit: Lid. Not kid. Although, if it's an alien, I might be able to distract it with a delicious dumpster baby while I run away

The question I often pose to people is:

Which is more fun to kill in a video game: zombies or *****?

Maybe he's a good guy, though, and only eats leaves.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

I voted demon because of the whole evil from hell angle. Besides with the alien, while my command of la lengua is a little rusty, I still think I could talk myself into a cerveza.

Demon, as when I think of Demons I think of a balor (the one on the left) whereas when I think of aliens I think of E.T.

Thanks for specifying. Otherwise I might have thought "Demons with Tits, **** ya! No reason to be frightened at all!"

I voted demon, but apparently for a completely different reason than the lot of you. The way I figure, an alien may be hard to kill, but it would at least be natural, and therefore some natural means must exist to kill it or at least defend oneself (it's a stretch, sure..), but a demon implies the supernatural and I don't think I'd be quite as well prepared to handle that, outside of spilling a load in the back of my shorts.

I don't believe in Demons, in the strict demonic (Smiley: grin) sense of the word. So, I can't really be afraid of them. There's a possibility of aliens, so I voted alien. I spose meeting one in an alley, even if it was an ewok, might be a bit frightening.

Demons don't necessarily have to be evil. Going by the bible definition, aren't they simply angels cast out during the great war (whatever they call it)? I think I read Good Omens one too many times. Smiley: oyvey

I voted aliens, as (as Doom taught us all) there's the very real chance that what seems to be a demon is in fact an alien.

When the giant demon comes to eat me and digest me whole, there is a chance that praying hard enough could save me.

When the giant alien comes to do the same, God may instead be on their side.

Also, there is nothing scarier than little gray aliens. Except maybe little gray alien clowns.

A demon would definitely shake my fundamental connection to reality far more than an alien would.
