What a story.

It's Christmas eve and I am heading over to my girlfriends place. We have had alot of snow come down in the last little while so driving has been very difficult. Side streets haven't been plowed main roads are crap. I am unable to get into my girlfriends street or anywhere near for that matter, so I park at the local mall and decide to walk to her place.

I have my knapsack, laptop and two bags w/ presents in them and am walking down the road keeping my eye out for cars and moving off to the side when I need to. Well, this beautiful Landrover decides apparently that I have not moved far enough over and somehow my knapsack hits and breaks his passenger side mirror.

The fellow then got out of his car, walked over to me (I figure to make sure I'm ok) BOY WAS I WRONG! He hits me w/ an elbow, I fall backwards where he then jumps onto me and starts feeding me shots to the head. Lucky another car had witnessed what happened, the witness got out of his car and yelled at the guy on top of me. The attacker gets up and "SAUNTERS" back to his vehicle. My witness got his plate number.

The witness called 911, an amublance shows up as well as a cop car, the police explain that they did indeed pull over the vehicle BUT they let him go. They explain to me that he is a well connected gang member (apparently pretty high up as the vehicle(Landrover) starts at about $80,000) and that it is in my best interest to not press charges.

Apparently I am lucky to be alive, which is true.

If he's a well-connected gang member than this is an excuse to press charges. Those cops were ******* with you.

I think you've missed the entire point of this episode in your life.

You now have a lightning shaped scar. On your forehead. That will be apparent above your beautiful green eyes. Every time you push your unruly brown fringe back.

Follow up.

Note 1. I'm not sure about American law, but in Canada if I press charges the accused is given access to all of my personal information. As of right now, he has no idea who I am, if I press charges if they convict or dismiss he will know where I live. He may not do anything but as I mentioned he is a high up gang member (A well known gang that is across both Canada and the US, they ride motorcycles*hint*). They have tons of "lackies" just dieing to impress them.

Note 2. I am a sales rep for an automotive company, visiting one of my customers the main topic of conversation is my head. One fellow asks me about my cut and I tell him the story, he inquires as to the location, which I provide. Then he asks me if the vehicle was a white Landrover. I look at him stunned! He tells me that he saw on the news this guy had done this to someone else as well.

To be honest, I am most upset by the fact that he hit me while I was completely unprepared. I would have atleast liked a chance to defend myself (I'm a meager blue belt in judo). He could have hit me w/ any numerous types of weapons. He didn't. I think I will heed the advice that I get from most people which is to live w/ the scar and realise that I'm just lucky to be alive.

Get someone to make him accidentally fall down a flight of stairs.
