The weekend kinda snuck up. There is a co-worker band playing x-mas carols right down the hall from me. They're pretty bad.

I finished up my class last night and nailed it..Yay. Also while at school last night I arranged with my favorite prof to join a group working with her to collect and analyze the states education budget, state aid distribution, and results of consolidation efforts. It's a great opportunity to get my Capstone done in an orderly organized fashion (in other words I don't have to rely on myself to motivate me and get me moving). I should have my Masters degree in hand by May.

Hmm the weekend...tonight hubby and I will be winding down from pre-holiday stress and enjoying our last night alone before the house fills up with family.

Tomorrow I'll be waiting nervously while my daughter drives out of one predicted blizzard and into another to get home. Oh, and last minute shopping. Smiley: grin

Sunday we're decorating the x-mas tree.

I have to wrap presents this weekend. That's about the extent of my plans.

I just finished hosting an ornament making play date for 8 other moms and 17 kids. If you knew the size of my home you would understand the sheer breaking of physics to accomplish this.

the Mr had surgery yesterday so he went into hiding upstairs and has been pampered nonstop and shall continue to be pampered until tomorrow when I deem he is ok.

This weekend is the flurry of shopping (kids got GCs to Toys R Us from grandma) and mutual chilling. Tuesday night my mom arrives until the end of the year so we're going to reserve our strength

Tonight: Shaking off a crappy chest-cold, so probably LoTRO & TV

Tomorrow: Shopping I suppose; food, booze and pressies. That and get the house spruced up ready for Nobby 2.0 & 2.1's Christmas sojourn

Sunday: Wrapping, last-ditch shopping & LoTRO

Saturday night is my oldest son's birthday party of which 40 of his closest friends are going to be hanging out for a few hours. So tonight and during the day tomorrow is preparing the house for this party (organizing, cleaning, etc.)

Sunday is church and errands and hopefully wrapping Christmas presents and recuperating from said party.

Bwahahahahahaaaaa!

I mean, is he ok?

Bwahahahaha!

Anywho...I have Christmas with friends deal tonight, and not much else for the weekend. Good news today that our green card interview in Montreal is being rescheduled so the chaos of a whirlwind trip post-Christmas is gone. YAY, YAY, double YAY.

Now, I have to return to actively resisting the box of chocolates in the kitchen.

Having decided that houses suck, I've decided to go look at a different one. Its a little bigger, a little newer. Almost no yard to speak of though, but then again, me being allergic to grass, that might not be a bad thing. $20k cheaper too on the asking price, Not sure why yet.

Other than that, just trying to avoid "the mother of all Ice storms of doom"

I spent the day driving through the snow and avoiding serious mishaps. The weekend is supposed to be dedicated to packing up for the move, but we'll see how that actually goes.

If you decide the house is a keeper, put in a Japanese rock garden to replace what yard there is.
