Anyone used it? Thoughts? I'm considering it.

I have to read my book. Listening to a book being read irritates me.

You clearly haven't been blessed by the joy that is listening to Christopher Walken recite "The Raven". Sometimes, books on tape are awesome...especially if you're one that makes a 3.5 hour drive to Massachusetts regularly.

I've tried listening to books on tape/CD. But I prefer to just stick a movie in the DVD player and listen to a movie on a long drive.

I'd try to watch it and get in an accident...if I had a dvd player, that is.

That's about the only way I think I could enjoy one. But then again, my memories of family vacations where we were driving 6+hours with my dad listening to The Client when I was 8, aren't fond ones.

If I could listen to books on tape at work but make it look like I was on the phone with a customer, I'd totally do it.

I think I've read 1984 and Animal Farm online.

It was a pretty cool way to pass the time. I'd probably have a hard time with audio since people come to talk to me all the time, so I'd have to pause a lot. My latest thing is Elance so I can earn extra cash. I just got my second job today, which will put me at close to $200. Smiley: grin

I never knew that people paid for professional facebook makers.

I find it incredibly hilarious.

In my office most people listen to their ipods while in deep concentration and use it as a way of saying "do not disturb".

I spend a good deal of my day driving, and on occasion enjoy a book on tape. But for the most part when I want to hear something read aloud, I just read it aloud. My voice is suitable for voice overs and such, and my wife gets a big kick out of it when I read Dear Amy every evening to her while doing my best James Earl Jones.
