But anyway, fridaythreadofdestruction!

Today I am housecleaning and making Christmas cookies with Mia. Tonight I might go get a pedicure and play some EQ2 later. Tomorrow, Mr. Tare is spending some QT with Mia (she is 4 on Saturday!) and the boy and I are going swimming. Then we have company Christmas party at a fancy schmancy hotel. Sunday we have Ashe's birthday party in the afternoon. I can't believe he is 2 already, DSD.

That's all I got, people. Whatchoo got?

Let's see, tonight dropping the gf's car off at a mechanic to fix the headgasket. He's only charging her $450 including parts. I'm scared the car's going to explode when she gets it back at that price.

Tomorrow, the "Mrs In-law" will be here hanging with the kids, so we're going to take advantage and finish off our Christmas shopping.

Sunday, take the kid's to my office's kid's Christmas party and afterward, draw "Mommy-in-law" home.

Busy busy weekend. Today is Ashes second birthday and this morning we taught him to proudly yell "I'm 2!" along with Xavier teaching him to say cha cha cha after singing Happy Birthday to him.
Screenshot

In a few hours we're going to drop the kids off at a play place that also does day care (they've been looking forward to going for weeks because the place has awesome toys, according to Zavi) and pick up the Mr's business partner from the airport. We'll then dine on either high end fare or a local BBQ dive, depending on everyones appetite. The men will head back home for some beers while I grab the kids and then this evening we'll drive him back to the airport.

Sat we'll be hanging low until the evening where we have a Christmas party to attend with the boys. It will be a late party so Im planning on bringing the kids in their footy pjs, where they will get to meet Santa and be given a small gift. Happy Birthday Mia!

Sunday afternoon will be Ashes party at Hoppers House, a local bouncy play area with lots of other goodies. About 13 kids from the ages of 8 months to almost 7 years will join in the fun.

Aside from that Ill try and get some gaming in, but I'm still dealing with motion sickness when I play, so I may end up curling up with the book Im currently reading and pass out early. Next week is insanely busy for us too. We're pretty much full steam now until the New Year.

Everybody (read my side of the family) is coming up here to help us move and work on the new house this weekend. I have a few hours of work, need to get the sheets clean and what not so that who ever stays in my room has clean sheets. MrKatie and I will be camping out in the den of our new home.

My brother, his wife, their son, my sister, her fiance, my mom and my brother are all coming this weekend. I have 3 rooms in the rental. 9 people. They get to have the rental and motor home, we can't wait to camp out in the new house. We'd let them stay there too but I have no running water or electricity until Monday.

I really need to get my shopping done, the local grocery store has a gift certificate section that has cards from most of the popular area restraunts, best buy, toys R us, etc. At this point that will likely be my one-stop for the rest of my shopping as I just want it done and over with.

I have a Christmas party Saturday night at a buddy's house, which should be fun. Other than that I'll likely play some Fallout3 and call it good.

They're forecasting below-freezing temps and the possibility of the snow level coming down to below 1000 feet this weekend, so I imagine at least some of this weekend will be spent preparing for the possibility of power outages and the various other inconveniences of living in a place where snow happens, but not so frequently that it doesn't become a major issue when it does happen.

Tonight there's a good possibility we'll get a tree and decorate it after Tristan's in bed, but it depends on our energy levels.

Tomorrow, the real ordeal begins. Tristan's nursing manners are deplorable and it's driving me up the wall, so starting tomorrow (I waited until the weekend so his Dad can provide some distraction) we're changing the nursing routine to bed/nap time and wake-up time only. I've been talking to him about it for a couple days trying to prepare him, but it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Just sign paper for Sister to be handle probate of dad's estate, so we can free up money needed to cover his burial and getting contents of house appraised.

To day I'm going to do all I can to see if I can get rid of this migraine. tomorrow We're going to pick up a Art and Craft table I been wanting and then go to friends Christmas party. We need to also try to make it to Baltimore Science Fiction club house for monthly business meeting. I need to talk to company about scooter rentals during the convention, as several people express interest in idea last year.

Sunday will be day to recover and maybe get some LoTR:O time.

Right now I just want to crawl back in bed and sleep.

It's the beginning of a week off! Gonna shop for groceries and make a big pot of chili. Supposed to be rainy and cold here, perfect weather to cook and play WoW.

Yay!

Chili and WoW sound good. Unfortunately I'll be studying for my Calc 2 final on Monday, might reactivate my account Tuesday to celebrate classes being over until mid January Smiley: grin

Tonight: Birthday party for one of my friends. We're also going to try to get our Christmas tree and do some decorating. I'm so lagging on decorating this year and should just tell people that we're converting to JW so we can get away with decorating.

Tomorrow: Continue with decorating. Charmaine is also filming for another movie. We also have a family party to attend that evening. Hopefully, Charmaine's filming doesn't go over so we can get to the party.

Sunday: Continue with decorating. And yet another family party for one of my nephew's birthday.

And we have to find time to do the regular house stuff that needs to get done.

Meh. I can't wait for the holidays to be over.

Friday: Went to see my eldests first School Nativity play, the view of the back of other parents heads was a touch boring if i'm honest, but my wife said the left side of my son's chin acted the role of Shepherd perfectly Smiley: bah

did the first half of the Xmas food shopping, getting stuck behind middle aged women with no sence of awareness or respect for others was as usual tiresome.

Bought the Xmas chocs and a few bit in the Woolworths "closing down 50% off sale" only to find when I compaired prices with the Sainsbury's store that they where actually significantly more expencive, which makes me understand a little better why Woolworths are going to the wall.

Having chinesse for tea.

Sat: lie in (hopefully), sports maybe some WoW in the evening.

Sun: Hopefully Ding 80.

Lahurah is bringing over her shiny new FFXI PC she won here from Alla to show off, and then she's doing the much less glamorous task of attempting to fix our still-broken washing machine. (She's more mechanically inclined than either my fiance or I am, and she views broken appliances as a challenge.)

If she can't fix it, we have decided that we're getting ourselves a new washer for Christmas, assuming I get a bonus from work. :/ If I don't get a bonus, it's laundromats from us til we can save up for it.

Either way, we're going to oooh and ahhh over her new 'puter and then make some cookies or brownies and watch some anime or something.

He needs some extra Happy Birthday hugs too!

My weekend? Tomorrow we're driving up to my mom's house to unload boxes of stuff and get the house ready for our temporary move. Sunday, who knows? Actually, a customer of ours (a restaurant I do computer tech work for) gave me a $50 gift card so we'll probably be going out for dinner.

Today: Absobloodylutely knackered after last night's Christmas do. I'm told that by 3am I was dancing, but there's no mention of it in the media, so I'm skeptical about that. Anywho, staggered to mu hotel room at 5:30 this morning. Fried brekkie at 7, meetings at 9,10,11:30, etc etc. Had to give a lecture to a bunch of med students ~ I was piggin' useless. Smiley: bah

So tonight, half-hearted LoTRO & TV

Tomorrow: Chrimble shopping with g/f and Nobby 2.1 Smiley: mad

Sunday: Chillin' time with the li'l laydee

Saturday I make my annual trek to Longfellow's Book Store to browse and shop. There are a couple people I always give a book to at Christmas, so I indulge myself with an hour or two of 'shopping' at my favorite little book store.

Beyond that I'll be making candy, and getting the house spiffed up for holiday visitors....this is all assuming I have E-lectriCity at some point.

When you get hired will you give me back my "Katie in Purple" name?

As a colourblind person, I'm offended by this request. :P

I'm right there with you, sort of. I can see colors I just can't tell some of them apart. I see green as either blue or black and vice versa and red just misses me all the around.

Just got back from Lacey, WA for a party, I have half a cheesecake left over if anyone is within driving distance and wants some!

More house looking tomorrow, a pair of 1600 sq/ft and a 2000 sq/ft house maybe a 1300 sq ft with a new kitchen too. Depends on the weather, for the weatherman is predicting...

EPIC SNOW OF DOOM!!!!!!!!!!

So I might get snowed in. Or not.
