This is the first I've heard of it and I'm involved in a number of local and national GLBT rights organizations. :/



I heard of it last week. It's a take off of the whole day without an immigrant thing. I don't think it is the most effective type of protest to be honest and the issues resulting of denying rights to immigrants is pretty different than the issues of denying rights to people b/c of their sexuality. So the idea of using the same protest--well the day without a gay doesn't have the resonance that a day without an immigrant did.
