It is an incredibly cool condition to have, despite the serious havoc it plays with your internal organs. I maintain that every good villain should have his heart on the right side of his chest. It should be as mandatory as the monocle and manic cackle.

I can assure you this isn't the problem. It may be that I moved past the ludicrous romantic notion of cobbled together pop psychology you're spewing forth when I was about nine, but it's certainly not some lack of "understanding" on my part of your "depth". Sorry, Lightnin :(

I think the real problem is caused by the depressions on the side of your head impairing your metaphysical ability. Or perhaps you are simply lost in the endless forest of lies that is this world, trapped in your thorny cage of cynicism and pragmatism. But do not fear, my friend, for I am sure that one day you too shall see the light break through the trees, the dawn of the fire of enlightenment that shall burn upon the corpse of the old world until the rotten flesh is forever cleansed. No xylotheque of corruption shall remain, and none will have to face a hard decision ever again. Then we shall be as one with God.

P.S. I like the nickname.

To take the pure maiden Ethics into our soiled world and deflower her would be a cardinal sin. If we cannot escape the cage of sin and flesh that incarcerates us then how can we ever realise divinity? Surely there must be more to this fleeting life than breathing?

anyone want to translate what the hell he just said?

It means that there is an aspect of yourself who's perception transcends the egocentric logical portions of existence and sees things like a child, sees the divine, thinks without words, and is unbounded by traditional frameworks of time/space but that as one grows older the adult ego grows like a shell around it.. this shell is made up of your standard modern vices... Once an individual is capable of balancing out these aspects so that one does not conflict with the other then a form of self-awareness can occur that will allow an individual to participate more fully in a dualistic existence in the universe; one which indeed transcends this commonality of time/space that people are experiencing

Trepanation, like in the manga Homunculus. A man under goes an experimental surgery (the doctor drills a hole into his skull) and it allows him to see the true nature of a person by looking at them, through a distortion of their body to represent their true selves.

No, you're meant to believe the opposite. I'm astounded anyone could take any post after the second, where I use a hypothetical scenario which works AGAINST my argument and confess belief in phrenology, seriously.

I guess I just get upset about this stuff because I believe we'd all get along better if we accepted and appreciated our differences instead of trying to BS that we're all the same.

Maybe it's because most of the major injustices in the world were committed under the reasoning that people are different and do not have the same rights as the ones performing the crimes (forced relocations of people, slavery, holocaust, etc). I would prefer that we all got along under the banner of humanity being the same no matter what first; then we can nit-pick about the little differences on how our bodies are formed.

All of you need to learn to read. Sorry.

I mean, Jesus. I'm not sure if any of you took him seriously, but if you did, please.

I thought this was a bit of Rex Murphy humour at first, honest.

"Whereas cystic fibrosis has been recently revealed to only affect white people and primarily men, be it resolved that: (the Carleton University Student Association) discontinue its support of this campaign."

What colour is YOUR disease?

What's extremely annoying is that Brittany (lolz) Smythe isn't apologising for being am ignorant bigot, she's apologizing for getting her CF facts wrong, dumb *****.

Many articles available already pointing this out but, breast cancer anyone? sickle cell anemia? I want to hear the douchebag's answer to those ones.

It's the extreme Canadian Federation of Students (CFS) at its finest. Though CUSA itself is pretty infamous for pulling this sort of crap. They'll turn on you in a second if you dont fall in line with their elected leaders.

Though I still think Student politics are a joke.

I kept reading that as the "Charlatan University Student Association."

Amusingly enough, the Carleton University newspaper is called "The Charlatan".

They aren't anatomically different; it's not like if you're born white your organs are in different places then black people or you have 3 arms instead of 2.

That's a little extreme example. You do know there are anatomical differences between races, right? And it's not just blacks and whites that are different. Every race is different from the others. Stop making it a thing about racism.

You know from just your skull alone they can tell a lot about you? Age, sex, race.

Not to be an ***** but the entire field of Forensic anthropology is predicated on you being wrong about that. The various races and even males and females are for a fact anatomically different. You are correct that the differences are certainly not major, but they do exist. Again, not trying to call anyone out or be an ***, I just can't understand why folks have a problem with accepting that different people are, well.. different.

The only reason a forensic anthropologist can look at nothing more than a skull and give a reasonably accurate assessment of age, race and sex of the deceased is because there are differences.

Nah. They just make that stuff up as they go along. But since the only people who could disagree are *also* forensic anthropologists, they all go along with it so as not to blow their cover...
