This got released a few days ago out of Beta. It's basically a "windows update" for all those other programs you download onto your computer and then forget about. Things like flash player, Quicktime, FTP software, etc. It's got a pretty impressive database of software listed, and it seems to work pretty well. it does report compliance stats back to the Secuna company, but they are anonymous and don't identify your computer. They just want to know what percentage of computers out there are fully patched and secure.

When it installs, it does add itself to the startup folder. I'd probably just run it occasionally when you want to check if you are up to date personally.
But anyways, I'm going to do something I rarely do, and reccommend that all of you at least check it out. Even if you install it, run it once, fix things, then uninstall it you'll probably be ahead of the game.
edit: oh, and it's free.
