I am having a fairly productive morning so far. Mia participated in a research study at Duke, we got new library books and I picked up beer for the holidays.

It's all happening here, folks!

I took the day off. Gonna go catch a matinee with the kid, between and amidst turkeyday preparations.

Pretty quiet here, and my troop called in sick today. I'm not feeling well myself, I hope they let us cut out early today.

I was going to ask why you wanted to catch a manatee, but then I read it correctly.

Smiley: nod

We're all just sitting here marking time. Our boss just sent an email that we can leave 3 hours earlier than our normal quitting time, so I'll be knocking off around 1:30 or so for the day Smiley: thumbsup

Since I have to squeeze 5 days worth of work into three days, and because today ends up being the last day of the month for me (financial reconciliation day, woot!), I'm more than productive enough for the rest of you slackers.

Add to that that the ex has been injured at basic training and I'm spending the morning trying to change flight reservations and whatnot so that he can come home this weekend instead of just before Christmas and doing so without the ability to contact him and needing to wait until he can call me on a payphone since the army is full of ******** who can't just let them use a regular phone. Today ******* sucks.

Our production is fairly quantitative, measured by the number of attempted calls (92) the number of people who answered the calls and talked to me (2) and the number of people that answered and wanted to communicate through email instead (1).

Considering that before noon, my usual numbers are more like 50/10/5, this has been a pretty lame day.

I had a meeting and this morning, and then told the office I'd work from home this afternoon. I'm almost lvl 76 on my shadow priest, but I need to catch up on the rest of my guild cos they're way ahead of me.

But the meeting was pretty productive, I suppose.

Doing the last little things that need to get done before we close for the weekend. But due to end of month things, I doubt I'm going to get out of here anytime soon. And I won't be surprised if I go in on Friday for a bit.

My boss said I should be productive today but considering he lives down in Water Island, U.S. Virgin Islands, he can kiss my ***.

I'm goin' on break.

I take it that posting on Allakhazoo doesn't count as a break.

We had a 7-system install to do today in the city...when we got there found that the restaurant was still being fixed up. So instead of a 6-hour install that would have kept us down in Manhattan till rush hour, we just tested the network cables and bugged out before noon. Now that we're back there's a bit of paperwork to do and just kill time till the boss decides to let us go.

Boss wasn't in the office today, and he told us yesterday not to stay to late, so I took it to heart. Got into the office a bit early and powered through until about 1pm, then took off for the day.

Hurray for four-day weekends!

Jonwin and I just got home from the wake for my father. It was first time all six of us could get time to talk about our dad's estate and will. So day was a mix bag. Great food some laughs and tears and 12 of 14 grandkids and 3 of 6 great grandkids. Add spouses and SO's and house was filled.

6 year old boy mom never thinks that sometimes she should pack his DS, so rest of us can get some peace and quiet. So all the younger girls were cased about the house. There was no way we dare let him use the computer. Forgot to suggest we get out our old Lego's.

We had plenty of food and just enough angel food cake. I finish my one dish when we got back from the service and just left it sit in the oven until time to eat.

I am now in charge of research for family. Seem last work my dad had done on family tree was lost when HD crashed and fact that I had found copy online saved redoing years of work. Now I need to burn copies and get everything to the other 5.

Indeed.

I work for a company that develops and sells software solutions to the banking industry.
Last night the CEO told us over a cocktail dinner that we've all done a great job, but none of us is getting a raise at the end of the year (the only time they give raises is on New Year's).

All my colleagues look like zombies and productivity is close to nil today.
