The corporate executives are touring the plant. The president is in constant meetings with them. Our congressmen have visited to talk with them about how they feel about the proposed bailout.

It's gonna start hurting. We lasted longer than a good number of our competition though. We won't be going down completely, but I'm sure we will be much smaller by the time this is all over. Hopefully I'm valuable enough to them to stay the entire time. I'm pretty sure I'm safe, but who knows what those visiting execs think.

I can only imagine that if I'm laid off they will still be calling me in the middle of the night if a machine breaks asking me how to fix it.

No, we are a smaller supplier for the automotive industry, and a lot of our older, more stable work is with GM and Ford.
