I graduated with a BS in Management

Laughing overcame me at this point and I couldn't get through the rest of the post. Go get an MBA. Alternately, learn to play cards, it's a good career move, though it looks strange on a CV.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

It's weird. At the university I went to, I thought Management and Business were considered BA studies, not BS.

It seems that it's up to the college/university what they want to categorize their degrees under, Science or Arts. So I guess there is no real difference between Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Art...

Edit:
Before conclusions are jumped to, I know that the MBA stands for Master of Business Administration, and has nothing to do with a BA degree. And had I bothered, I could have stayed for another year and got mine, and I probably should have, but it was too expensive for me. I needed to start working full time ASAP.

For the record, most major US universities require (at least) two years of management experience before accepting students into their MBA graduate programs. Yes, I could go to a community college and probably get an MBA, but I am not sure how much more worthwhile that would have been for me.

Turns out I reached a sort of self-compromise; finally landed an assistant position in the dean's office of a Floridian university, in their school of health sciences and nursing. One of the perks is that after 6 months I get free tuition (for 6 credits a semester). So if I'm still looking for nursing, I can start taking the basic intro science classes needed for an accelerated program.

Thanks for the info and opinions all, it's nice to get a much worldlier view than my own!

Almost no one I know of who's gotten into a top-tier MBA program has had 2+ years of management experience. Many went straight from college and the ones with work experience were typically engineers or low-level Wall St. analysts.

I hear MBA applications are way up this year anyway due to Wall St. layoffs and the economy in general, so it'll probably be a lot more competitive than usual if you do decide to apply.
