great game. they did a fantastic job making grouping really easy and painless. too bad EQ1 couldnt have figured out as much. to bad EQ2 still cant figure it out.

no one really groups much, mind you, but it is easy if you want to.

the pvp instances included. they one upped WoW by letting you sign up for any or all pvp instances you qualify for (level), from anywhere in the world. ports you in, sends you right back to where you came from when its over. most are less than 15 min long.

1 on 1, a melee can pretty much own a caster all day long. snares and roots are like 10 seconds long, and they can hit harder than some of your spells but they have ac and you dont.

csters pretty much suck.

the rogue classes are pretty mean. 50/50 live or die with a tank class. 80/20 with a caster. beginning to think EQ1 is the first and last place casters will be any fun to play.

got to level 23, and just not interested in doing the quests or pvp any more. was fun. was new. just not enough to keep me comming back. certainly better than conan. vanguard had more depth, but not to many people want to group so it was dead in the water before it launched. the pvp just gets old....fast.

recommend it. was a good distraction for a few weeks and thats more than you get from a FPS usually. relies to heavily on pvp IMO, but its painless to participate in and the xp is better in pvp than pve.

next up, spellborn.

no dwarfs, silly graphics, but just cant bring myself to play WoW anymore new expansion or not.

Eh, I'll agree with you mostly. I found a new love for it when I switched to a more populated server. Still working on find a good group of people I mesh with. Not enough PvE for my taste the dungeon that I've been in was like 3 rooms 3 boss mobs and that was it. Kind of gay.

Other than that, the scenario PvP is pretty awesome, I'm playing an open RvR server and no tools camping lowbies or anything. Really miss the WoW dungeons and PvP but the RvR here is so much better than WoW could ever be.

I'm on besachem, which is better than Ungrim. The RvR is better than WoW by far. But it needs to grow.

Interesting you think the casters are so bad when they seem to be the main topic of the "omg nerf!" There isnt a single aspect in this game that focuses on 1v1 outside of your random world pvp encounter, and in anything other than 1v1 the two primary casters are extremely powerful with a unique and interesting mechanic.

I have played the game about a half hour in the last week, main problem being lack of people to play with that i know. i joined the game because i knew a lot of people playing, and now they all quit.

Still think its better than WoW in areas where the game focuses. I never expected to play any PvE in WAR, just PvP and i like the way they did their pvp. I want to get to tier 4 at least before calling it quits, just have to find somebody to play with PvP with.

That's not what I've seen. I'm still only lvl 26, but every single night of the week there is at least 1 warband trying to take the Keep in Avelorn. People are asking for PQ groups constantly in /1, and I've never had a problem finding people to play with. Scenarios have a waiting time of 1-5 minutes. On my server (Eltharion EU) at least, it's actually quite hard to solo.

No, 1v1 BW and Sorceress own pretty much everything if they play decently. They go down fast if they equip and spec only for damage, but a BW with decent mix of stats should own every other class, save maybe for a WE that gets the jump. Maybe.

Casters are horribly overpowred in this game. If you can't own everything with a BW, then I don't think MMOs are right for you, seriously.

Having said all that, I'd have quit a while ago if I was playing with a couple of RL friends. And with Woltk coming out, I'm going to put War on the backburner for a while. But it's still a great game, very casual friendly, and a lot of fun if you got mates to play with.

Seriously? It's shadowrelm.

He goes through MMOs like he's getting on a random bus and getting off and random locations. One week he'll be in Ohio and telling us how he loves the comfortable seating. Next he'll be on a double decker to Las Vegas telling us how friendly the old folks and hookers on the bus are. Who knows where he'll get off or which bus and destination he'll go to next. Who even cares?

And the Warhammer players world-wide breathe an audible sigh of relief as the average IQ on their servers goes up three points with SR's exit.
