Did anyone else see that bit of the news conference where Obama referenced Nancy Reagan and Seances?

Reporter asked him a questions about what he is doing in terms of getting ready for the presidency and asked if he spoke to former Presidents.

He responded with a "well all former living presidents.... I say living cause I havent spoken to Nancy reagan, something something seance"

I didn't get to watch it, but that's pretty funny. Was he pro or con on the seance questions?

I think it was an astrologer, anyway.

Well I was listening to the conference on the radio in the car, but then my wife called to talk to me. She was pissed that the conference cut off her soaps and didn't care that I was trying to listen.

I giggled a bit every time he referred to the current "lame-duck" administration. Tee-hee!

Looking for a direct quote from a transcript. I think the context was broken because he was trying to state that he hadn't talked to Nancy Reagan, or did a seance for a non living president. However it really came off as in he hadn't asked Nancy about a seance for Ronald and it was like "ouch too soon". You could totally tell the press gallery was like "double you tee eff mate", and then his jokes he made about the choice of dogs and everything else fell flat.

I have to admit he had a pretty good sense of humor throughout the entire conference. I missed the end though. I got a kick out of his discussion on the highly important decision of getting a puppy Smiley: grin

I missed it but it's been my limited experience that Senator Obama isn't all that great a cut-up. I'm sure he's plenty fine one on one and has his moments but he's not destined for a gig at the Giggle 'N Brew. He should probably stop trying.

"I have spoken to all of them who are living," he says. "I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Regan thing about doing any seances," he says.

Actually a sick burn, lol

Yeah, he has kind of a stilted delivery. Then he'll try to show it was a joke by chuckling to himself afterwards. Not as bad as the GWBush Snicker, however.

God I hope so. I can't wait to be called a cracker by the most powerful man in the world for the next four to eight years.
