Sweaters are lame and uncomfortable, I've always worn a coat instead.

Kids have been running away from home, sometimes with tragic consequences, for as long as there have been children and parents. I think it's a bit silly to single out the Xbox as the culprit. It may have been the symptomatic cause in this specific case, but it could just as easily have been anything else.

He'd be conflicted...

Microsoft's Xbox obviously killed the boy, but Microsoft donated money to help find him.

Or he'd just spin it as a 50,000 dollar coverup.

MANDATE GAY MARRIAGE is the obvious solution.

That's just stupid. Mourning his loss because he could have been something great. He could have just as easily grown up to be the first carrier and spreader of a mutated super virus, leading to the downfall of mankind.

The world feels nothing because of this single child's death. Thousands of others just like him die each day. The only difference here is that his stupidity is publicized for the lulz.

What can i say i think a little more postive then you do.

Assuming that the savior of the world is now dead over a video game is hardly positive thinking.

Thats Ok we phoned your parents, they agreed your life is both worthless and expendable.

Expect your Xbox to be taken away at a mutually convienient juncture.

it's a sad loss really for all we know he could have been some one who cured cancer and thats why we really need to become better parents in this day in age.
I don't think a kid who ran away when it was close to winter because of a stupid game console would really qualify.

I say, chaps, you;re being a bit cold here. This topic concerns the tragic death of a poor boy who made a single silly mistake and you lot are making corny jokes about it. If his parents had only heeded their call of duty better, then they might have prevented this poor child's death.

We limit Jr.'s gaming/TV time to an hour and a half on school days, and take his systems/TV away every time he gets grounded. It's important to us that he do something other than play video games or watch TV.

While being a teenager limits his ability to accurately gauge consequences, to run away because of a video game is either pathological or petulant. While I grieve for the parents' loss, this child brought this upon himself.

The world is cold. As was said, this kid's death is no loss to the world at large, and is actually probably beneficial to it. And besides, without the corny jokes, this thread would just be dull and boring. I have no sympathy for the kid or his parents and no, it's not a sad tragic loss.
