During the debates a few losers Assylumites had a live IRC chat going on.

Anyone planning on a Skype/yahoo/msn or IRC discussion tonight?

And if so, what was that funky java based IRC Web service somebody linked back then? Was much easier than trillian or mIrc

I'll be watching the coverage on a big screen.

I was promised apple pie too.

That sounds like a giggle.

I feel more passion and more involved in the US election than I did for the last UK one ...

Anyone just see CNN "Beam" in the reporter from Chicago into the "Election Center" (which looks eerily like the Situation Room")?

It says "Via Hologram" at the bottom.

Apparently, it's the first time it's ever been done on live TV.

Yeah, pretty impressive. It's a cool technology, and the possibilities are quite enormous. What was she seeing from Chicago, though? Was she just staring at a TV screen?

That's mighty generous of ya there lil' lady, and I'd take you up on it if I weren't sans microphone, talking on the phone, and unable to be tethered to the computer on the off chance that the baby sets the house on fire.
