You watch. Opening day next season the Phils lose and their fans will boo and chuck batteries at the right outfielder. Lol.

Sports are full of fair weather fans.

I personally hate Baseball and the World Series ruins television. Stupid baseball games taking up the time slots of my favorite shows.

Aww, see? This is a prime example of the tearing down of revered American institutions like football halftime shows featuring the school bands and lengthy cheerleader shots, Richard Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve show went from 6 PM to 2 AM, and the Miss America bathing suit portion that showed all 53 contestants for three minutes each.

Shame on you, RR. Shame.

That's because America loves 15 year old girls more than 20 year old woman.

My cousin was going crazy (she was jumping around and singing) when Miley was on. I think all the sugar may have had something to do with it, but she's a big fan of Miley (and she thinks the Jonas brothers are cute too, like many 10 year old girls).

Finally, it's over.

Now we can concentrate on real sports.

Thank you Phillies for beating The Rays.

But dag nabbit, if the Rays had only played like that when they played the Sox...

I'm ok with it. The way I see it, neither the Red Sox, the Cubs, or the Yankees won, so everything is just fine. I'd like to see a little World Series love come Seattle's direction though.

Yes, but not every team is supported 100% by them.

I don't get it...they treat the Boston pitchers like batting practice, then pull this crap? Sheesh...

In other sporting news, I decided to try and watch some basketball last night and lo and behold! the Knicks are undefeated this season! I haven't been a pro basketball fan since the Jordan era, so there might be some promise here for me.

Heh, is it truly possible that the Knicks have turned a corner?!? That has been one messed up franchise for a long long time.

Yeah, but two wins in two games is significant-- for the Knicks, at least. It shows they can field a team not entirely made up of point guards or small forwards. It also shows they can make it through a 40th of a season without a "truck party" or a Issiah Thomas incident where he accidentily gropes a fellow employee.

That is significant-- for the Knicks, at least.

Turning back to baseball...I'm glad I went to Philly yesterday morning, if I went there today it would have been a disaster. Probably roll my van over and torch it like the lunatics in Boston were doing back in '04.

Pff, 18 years, get a REAL losing streak. The Red Sox haven't won in 11 months. ELEVEN!! Boston is down to a single major sports team holding a World Championship. ONE!!

also the Leafs haven't won in my lifetime. The fact that I've been following them for less than half of it notwithstanding

Or like the Phillies' fans were doing last night? I don't get that -- your team wins a national championship so a bunch of morons go riot in the streets and destroy other people's property.
